Just had a talk with my FFL and a G48 is in the future. I went with the cheapie plastic sight model so I can swap them out to something better.
Question:
Will it take the usual "fits all 9mm" G19 or G17 aftermarket sights?
I want to start shopping now. May try a set of Fusions

My guess is with the narrower slide it will take G43 size night sights.

I was told 43/42 sights only. The slide is the exact same dementions as a standard 43 but longer of course. Dovetails too.

Good to know... Saved me from buying the wrong set of sights. The slide length made me lean toward the G19 type sight.

Same width as a G43/G43X but the G48 takes a taller rear sight.

So, JPB, are you saying the proper sight set is the same as a G19?

I think the G43/G43X is .240 and the G48 is .256.

Brownells sells a variety of G43 G19 sight heights / etc.

At this point, I will go ahead and pay the extra $$$ for the factory night sights.
Seems to best the best option until the G48 is in circulation awhile.

Don't know about a rear dovetail but I just installed a GL-312-185 on a G48 I bought earlier today
