What's your favorite non-1911 45?
No contest. G30. Accurate, reliable, and available in a S (something - son has one) size or even Gen 4 sizes - sure to fit just about everyone.

While 9mm dominates the local shooting, the last non-9mm to go would be my made in 1918 issued 1911 and my early production G30.

The SIG P220-1 gets my vote. I've got a P220-1 that was made in November, 1995, a very early US-assembled example, and it's as sweet as Tupelo honey.

Gen4 G21. Converted it to 10mm but missed having it at the ready in 45AUTO, converted it back. Now just have to get a G40 to take care of the 10mm itch.

For range use, the P220 X6, followed by the P220 Sport with compensator. For everything else, the P220. I haven't handled the 220 Legion yet, I suspect that would be #1. Until then, like Para, any W. German to mid 1990's P220. It's the kind of gun that even well used tends to be super accurate and reliable.

That would have to be my P220 Sport. Great factory trigger, and little recoil with the factory comp. Followed closely by my P245 on the other end of the scale.

Although I could never part with my Colt 1911, My next favorite .45 is my FS 320.

My Smith & Wesson PC 945, for sure. I love that gun, save for a few details that I plan on changing if I can find a gunsmith that is game.

However since it is similar in a lot of ways to a 1911 my secondary answer would be my S&W 4566 TSW's. They are FANTASTIC weapons. Several years ago there were a ton of them on the market after some department changed side arms so I grabbed a few.

P220 hands down. I've had a few including a DAK model.
Easy to shoot and a great hand fit for me.

I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

How does that Jericho feel recoil wise? Is it a steel full size?

Not much recoil at all. It's all steel with the 3.8" barrel, so its the mid-size.

My favorite 45 is the Sig P220. Since this pic was taken I added Rosewood grips to the 220ST and I think it looks 100% better.
