This is primarily for range use/collection. I'm open to any manufacturer, but lean heavily towards SIG.

Mid to late 90's 229 -- the original platform.

For pure range use/collection, I love my Glock 24 with a drop in .357 Sig KKW barrel. It's more accurate than I am.

For shooting at the range my choices would be SIG 226 followed by 229 and then the Glock 31.
If purely a range gun that was to be trained with hard and shot a lot I would go with the 31 because I would not feel guilty about abusing it

Put me down for a P229 as well. I do like the HK P2000 in 357 SIG as well, but I think the 229 handle's it a little better.

Any P226 variant.

More weight less recoil - longer sight radius. Wink

P229 for me, as mentioned, 90's vintage, non-rail. Have an old 2-tone and a normal black one, only tricky part lately is feeding them at an affordable level with locally found ammo.

I have never played with the .357 SIG but the Glock 35 conversion is intriguing. Also, I don't know if Bar-Sto is making barrels but a CZ SP-01 Tactical or CZ-75 SA would be a neat project.
