Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

So, the FDE SCAR comes in 3 colors? FDE, FDE, and FDE?

It’s 3 different shades of FDE on one gun

I've tested non-positive for color blindness of all types all my life, and those shades of FDE all look more of less the same and nowhere near as egregiously mis-matched as the FDE SCAR unless you're trying to say the light doesn't match and that's hardly Glock's fault.... /shrug

I guess some folks get so excited over different shades of the same color on the same gun, they call it different colors. Razz

Pistol looks about the same shade to me, unlike the Scar's 50 shades of FDE. Streamlight is different.

Reminds me of the Planet Fitness commercial with the ripped guy on the exercise bike. There aren't enough mirrors, to see me. To see you, to see if you're looking at me.

Shoot enough, train enough, compete enough -- and guns get scratched, dinged up, dirty, discolored. Tools that are used acquire some wear.

Right. The upper, lower, and stock/grip are three different shades of FDE:

I know. Big Grin Just though it would be helpful for folks like 12131 to be able to easily visualize/compare the FDE SCAR.

I do agree with you that the G19x is nowhere near as egregious as the SCAR.

The TLR-1 is from a completely different company, and was released well before the FDE Glocks anyways, so it's not like they're trying to make it match.

The G19x's slide and frame are likely as close of a match as possible with two very different materials and coloring processes. It's a 99% match to my eyes.

My distributor exclusive Full FDE G21's slide and frame are even closer matches. But that was a special Cerakote color that was mixed specifically to match the Glock FDE frame, and it's not nearly as durable as the nPVD metal coating on the G19x slide. (Likewise, the Vickers mag release and baseplate were made with polymer colored specifically to match the polymer Glock FDE frame, so they totally match too.)
