http://totalautomation.us/sigcorner.htm

these guys will convert a SIG P226 barrel to work in a P6/P225

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/836082926

P225 "parts kit" that has used slide/barrel and a number of P225 parts.

Sig-made P225 threaded barrel for 199.95, might want to contact the seller to make sure its not P225-A1 because it does not specifically say.

Can the "nicks" be polished out?

Another option is EFK. Showing out of stock right now, they do them in batches. I was patient and checked their site until it was in stock, very happy with mine.

My plan "A" would be to polish the ramp (or have it polished) as well.

Are the nicks on the outer edges of the ramp or in the center? If they are on the outer edges, they can usually be polished out, but the pistol will work regardless. If the nicks are in the center of the ramp, depending on depth, it may be a problem. You could call Sig and see if they can help address the nicks.

Jerry @ Total Automation is fantastic. He performed a QTR and high torque trigger mod on my German P225. That trigger is now better than any P225-A1 trigger or SRT trigger I’ve experienced.
Jerry trained Robert Burke, who is held in high regard here, in performing trigger actions on Sig pistols.
After personally meeting him and owning his quality work, I wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again.
