My only suggestion is also; have a similar takedown to the P series. No complaints otherwise. Smile

SRT and a slightly smaller overall size. It's a hair bigger than a 229 as it stands.

Slightly longer grip to stop the pinch and make flat magazine baseplates standard

Keep the da/sa trigger, just shorten the take up and give it a more ergonomic grip. Do some of you really use the old large grip? I have medium hands and that large grip felt like I was holding a .50AE Desert Eagle.

I agree on the trigger as far as length of pull and reset are concerned. Personally, I would very much like a model with a full size grip without needing to have the magazine inserted. I would also like to see Sig offer a rubberized type grip module in small and medium sizes. I would do nothing to the overall design and shape of the slide. It is by far the easiest slide for me to grasp, hand over top of slide of any pistol I have owned. I wish Sig had copied the SP2022 slide shape for the P320.

Short reset trigger and being a lefty, sand that damn slide-stop pin down on the right side of the frame.

I'm a huge SP2022 fan. They are some of the most shootable pistols out there. Smooth trigger action, soft shooting, and very accurate. The two changes above would make it nearly perfect. If you could make the gun a touch shorter overall while still making the grip about 1/4" longer, that would be awesome.

Sharing magazines with a more popular model like the P320 would be pretty awesome too - and I say that as someone with a bunch of SP2022 mags and compact baseplates in the closet.

Mulling it over, I have very few complaints but I can agree with those that called for:

Longer, true full-size grip for longer mags of 17-shot capacity.

Shorter reset and trigger that breaks farther from the frame.

Interchangeable magazines with the 320/250.

Return of the thicker fabricated decocking lever instead of the new flatter stamped job {older version easier to decock with the trigger finger for lefties like me}.

But realistically, JLJ, do you really see any possibility of SIG investing anything more in this model?

In light of my feeling that SIG will not, I'd actually be very very happy with a simple provision of 20-25 shot or so capacity magazines.

Where are you going with this?

One key feature of the SigPro is the modular hammerbox.

At one time, Sig sold SigPros with DAO hammerboxes. I wonder if they could design a DAK (remember that?) hammerbox.

So, my SigPro suggestion is more hammerbox options, including DAO and DAK.

Compact slide. Reduce the protruding portion of the slide lock / take down pin.

Short of new polymer technology, more modular, and fit/finish, not a thing. The grip is not for everyone. I don't know what it competes with besides other SIGs. Maybe FN 9c. I wonder if the French want something new.

I may be in the minority, but I'd like a longer barrel/slide version. Around 4.4" (or more) like a P226.

For me it would be softer grips for summertime IWB carry and flat base plates for the mags. Oh ya almost forgot do something about the take down pin (slide catch lever).

This is a excellent idea. Especially taking into consideration more velocity from 9mm and 357 Sig. Mine was SP2340 and I honestly liked the rail of its Swiss frame better than the 2022. Only minor issue I ever had was hand over slide racking. The angled slide serrations need to carry over the top edges of its slide for a more positive grasp.
