Yes on stainless frames only, but there is a line on either side from the groove, however I can weld it up and blend them in, but that requires a lot more work and I'd prefer to Super Black the frame after all that heat being pumped into the frame. The Super Black adds surface hardness to the frame which would negate any problem that could have been created for the heat treat of the frame due to the welding process.

I like the top of the slide.... though the side and front serrations could have just as easily been left alone for my taste.

The workmanship and eye for detail are top notch.

My exact feelings as well. I really like the top. But do not like the sides at all.

Scott -- I think it looks pretty cool, and the workmanship is great. Well done.

That said, I personally would keep an X5 as is, but I can understand why others might want to tinker with things.

I like it! I think it's really cool...the whole thing.

(of course, this is coming from a guy who likes the ridiculous SIS serrations on his Kimber ~LOL)

I love the top. it rocks. it looks like a gold cup top on a colt.

the side serations though i don't know. spaced closer together and not as big of an area would look better. but the idea is solid though.

Someone once asked me if I was getting a little on the side. I said, "On the side? When did they move it?"

Why do you collect guns? Same reason some people collect snow globes. To kill badguys.

The side serrations remind me of the Kimber SIS. BTW, I think the SIS sucks.

Sorry Flork, but I'd tend to agree. On all firearms (but especially duty pistols), more purchase is needed on the slide to clear stoppages, not less. The SIS might look prettier, but it's functionality is seriously impaired. I like the looks of the work you've done on the Sig, but wouldn't want to operate the pistol with the modifications done on the gripping surface of the slide. Confused

OK...maybe "sucks" is a bit harsh. How about this...the side serrations are crap.

Actually you'd be surprised how much more flesh you can catch on the more open serrations. That's why I did it, the Sig Serrations are wayyy too close to be useful.

That's very unique Flork.

I'm not sure how i feel about it, i'd probably have to feel it.

It certainly makes it one of a kind. The top looks cool.

That's what I thought when I first saw them. I don't like the look, but the wider serrations looks like it will allow a "deeper", sturdier hold with the fingers.

I like the top. If you are doing that for a customer, how much are you charging him for just the top?

And could you do that to a P6?

Flork,

Great stuff - a true original.

Also, takes guts to be that creative and then subject oneself to criticism - especially from this mob Wink

Keep up the good work.
