The Compact pistol Small (slim) grip is available. The Subcompact pistol is not on the market yet...

I am definitely on board for the clear grip set. Watch Bloomberg's head spin off with that one!

Ray Carter at SIG will help you with different 250 grips. My large grip is great, just like a G30 with room for my pinky finger too.

Could we just cut off some of the spring to get the 16 rounds in? BTW both the TGS mags I just got are 16 round, one I bought a few weeks ago was the old 15 round style.

It was an interesting proposition. But I cleaned it not to long after I got home. I usually clean my firearms after a trip to the range. I'm a firm believer that if you take care of your equipment it will take care of you.

But I might have taken you up on that. I do plan to make this my carry weapon after I can get a holster for it. So it would've been an interesting test to see how far it could've gone without a failure.

AFAIK the only way to get a "small frame" 250 is to buy a regular 250 and then buy a "small" grip frame ($42 @ Donna's) and switch out your frame--which is what I did--AFAIK sig is not shipping any 250's with only the small frame already installed on the gun--dmd

I spoke w/Ray at SIG on 8/4/08. He said the Caliber conversion kits will be out anywhere from now upto 3 months(fall). the price for the kits dropped: He said they will now be $369, & will include a complete set up, minus the fire control unit. Barrel, guide spring, magazine, & grip module. The 9/.40/357 sig will all share the same grip module, so if you already have 1, you'll end up w/an extra. The .45 has a different grip module.

JHP--will the $369 also include the new slide? or will that be another (expensive) extra? nice attractive price of $369 including new slide ($200) and barrel ($150) seems way too cheap!--but if $369 will result in a .45 cal 250 using my existing 9mm "fire control unit" --that will truly realize the promise of the 250's modular concept--we live in hope--but we wait and see!--dmd

I'm sorry. I forgot to add slide to my above post. The slide is included. I'm assuming the $369 price would be for one in the basic finish. And I agree with you; a $369 45cal is exactly what I have in mind.

I'll believe it when I see it. Until then I'm not counting on any conversion kits from Sig ever at this point. Which is sad because that's one of the reasons I bought one.

But it's still an excellent gun anyway and won't be getting rid of it anytime soon.

I wonder if you will be able to specify the size of the new grip module? That it, if you have the Compact Medium that comes with it and you want to move to a Sub-Compact Small, can you do so at that time or will you end up with a "free" Sub-Compact Medium and then have to buy a separate Sub-Compact Small grip module?

Hi everyone, my inside rep at Sig did confirm a lowered price on upgrade kits; but pretty sure the $369 is for 40/357, not 45, which are about $40 more expensive; but expect same "ratio" in price, as originally posted. Did say "no kits until after all calibers of guns have shipped, then kits will follow shortly thereafter". I've asked for an "addendum" to include MSRP, MAP and cost on not only kits; but individual components, as those logically should be changing, too?

Shame we have to learn of these things from the board, rather than Sig sending us the word! Think "jacketed hollow point", first to mention this, so we all should extend our thanks to him!

Can you guys with connections ask about the different colored/clear frames? What is available, what will be available, how much, etc. Thanks.

The colorless transparent grip modules (the "frame" is the metal insert with the serial number) were for display only. A SIG rep advised that the plastic used was not durable enough for continuous use.

Good question about the other color schemes. My guess is that they will all be used in limited-edition issues of complete guns and will not be available separately.
But I've been wrong before. Wink

Sigfruend, thought you were wrong once; but weren't, so guess that made me wrong? LOL Seriously, you are likely correct about "colored" frames; but with Sig you never know?

Got an e-mail from Sig today in response to a similar question regarding my p250:

"I'm not sure when the .45 kits are due...the .40 S&W is due anytime now and the .45's are due after that. I'd say later this year. There are big time delays for some reason - most likely vendor related."

Also, BTW, if your p250 mag only holds 15 e-mail Sig support and tell them... it is covered as a warranty item. The mags should hold 16.

In addition, the reason I'm talking to support is a leaky right rear night sight. They are taking care of me though... pre-paid shipping label for the slide, 2 week turnaround, all under warranty.

I spoke with Jennifer today in Customer Service. She called after receiving my 250 registration card to make some "special" offers I bought 2 mags for my 250 and 2 for my Mosquito for $50 per pair, also a Sig Light. She told me to expect to see the caliber conversion kits right after labor dau and also said they will have a 22 caliber kit as well, of course they will I just purchased the mosquito to save a few bucks on ammunition....

A confirmation of a .22 kit for the 250? That sounds good. I have been hoping that the 250 could be the gun to get me back from the dark side to SIG. There seem to be enough issues though that for now Im staying away from the 250. Hopefully in the next year or so the nagging issues I keep hearing about go away.

Has anyone heard any further plans of Sig offering the P250 in DA/SA?

Hey Track and others,

I believe the 15/16 magazine followers(#37 in your owners manual) are different. I assembled them with each style and found it was impossible to put in 16 rounds with the old style magazine follower.

For what it is worth-
