I dont know about the rest of you, but imo. Sig needs to get off there ass and get some kind of Model out to the dealers. That will assist the end user on knowing if they need/or would want a small, med, lrg grip.

Just a quick vent! Red Face

My dealer has a non-working grip frame display straight from SIG that demonstrates all available sizes.

no bugs yet w/my P250, however, if the caliber conversion kits don't come out soon, my P250 will get lonely on the shelf

Anyone done it?
This may be the deciding factor of whether I choose the .40 or 9mm version.
thank you

I believe that you can, eventually, buy a conversion kit for them to change calibers. The only thing that stays constant is the trigger assembly and grip (for 9/40/357) and possibly the slide. I thought I had heard that the 45 would have to have all new parts minus the trigger group.

Again, until they are released, who knows.

Thanks for the info.

How about any early production 'bugs' ?

I was told that you have to buy the "slide assembly" you use your grip assembly and trigger assembly.

I have about 2000 rounds through mine, with no show of real wear. I do clean it after every use and one of these days I will get 500 or so rounds through it without cleaning and see if there are any extraction issues. My only concern has been the mag release being too sensitive and I will get the springs that snowman outlined and see if that "tightens" it up a bit. I have been told that the conversion kits will be around $100 less than the entire pistol, if that ends up being the case I will just purchase the complete 357 when they become available.

"Upgrade Package" includes slide assembly with barrel, recoil spring and guide; plus grip module assembly and mag. 40/357 MSRP $529 MAP $463, while 45 runs MSRP $558 MAP $487. "Street Price" is less, of course! Will only accept "preorders" for any kits, if Sig gives us some sort of availability date to use?

Hope this helps?

Snowman-

Regarding the wolff spring set used to stiffen the mag release, where did you purchase it? I tried doing a google search for the Wolf #3 spring set with neg results.

Thanks for the info. Are these prices for the currently issued compact size kits? I am assuming they are and that I will probably be farting dust before Sig gets around to sub-c and full size kits.

And just to confirm, these kits can be shipped direct to us without going through an FFL? Thank you again. At this time, I am not really interested in another caliber in the same size. I would like to eventually get a full size .45 and maybe a sub-compact 9mm.

I think he mentioned Brownells.com. I also saw the same set on Midwayusa.com. IIRC it was ~$29 at Brownells and ~$23 at midwayusa

HMMM... The prices for the conversions kits seem a little pricey. True, when you factor in the cost of a slide w/night sights, etc., it seems like a fair deal, but unless you are moving all the way up to 45ACP, I would think that a barrel swap, guide rod & new mag would be all that's needed.

Would not expect conversion kits prior to release of "complete pistols", as Sig would prefer to sell guns and not "parts"!

Jacketed, you can't put a 40 or 45 barrel in a slide that is "cut" for a 9mm barrel. Now if Barsto does a 9mm conversion barrel for 250, as they do for 226,229, and 239, you could get a 9mm conversion barrel for a 250 40 and do barrel and mag swap? Of course 357 barrel could be swapped in 40 version, but not the 9, which is why all those parts are required for any upgrade kit, except what I just mentioned.

NewSig, glad you received your mag so quickly! That's the kind of customer service we should see!

EMitch, 40 version probably this month, but no new news, as yet!

Rich9644:

Lepoer provided the right information; Brownell's (the source I used) and Midway. Both are great for their service. I may also try a Wolff spring assortment to see if I can get an even better result. The #3-13 works well. I've had no accidental releases), but I'd like just a bit more tension.

I just put 500 rounds through my P250 today in about 2 hours and had no issues today. I had 0 failures.

Snowman and Az cowboy, good posts!

AZ, if you're willing, how about continuing to shoot your gun, keeping track of rounds, without cleaning to see where any failures begin to occur? Same ammo as you have been using, of course, to keep out any variation in ammo factor. Would completely understand if you don't want to subject your gun to this kind of use!

SigSam, you could wait for 45 if you choose MSRP $749 MAP $675 OO $609; but would have to buy complete kit for any other caliber wanted? Or you could choose to buy a 9mm available now and buy a 45 kit, when those are available. 45's probably before Christmas, but Sig is not saying when?

I've been looking for a P250 with a small frame. Three dealers have told me that SIG is not yet shipping the small frame. Is this correct? Anybody have any idea when they'll actually start shipping the small frames?
