It should be 16 in the mag + 1 in the chamber.

I've had to contact Sig 2x about 15 round mags and they've replaced them with 16 round mags free of charge.

The grip assembly changeover only takes a minute or two.... and I did the mag release changeover in under 5 minutes.... this is a big plus for me since I shoot left-handed...

Just a couple of questions... I still can't load more than 15 rounds in the mag... I've left it loaded for a few weeks...

1) Are these 15 or 16 rounds mags?

2) If anyone hears of an available threaded barrel please let me know....would like to see how the P250c functions with my Evo-9 suppressor...

The barrels are available from Sig for $233. Read back a few pages on this thread on the 15/16 mag issue.

Thanks.....Had my first experience dealing with Sig Customer Service.... I told them that my mag only held 15 rounds and they are sending me a new 16 round mag. As far as my other two mags that only hold 15, they will not send any to replace them because I didn't purchase direct from Sig.... I guess one is better than nothing... Sig Customer service also told me that the threaded barrel is NOT available. It only comes on the "tactical" model..

Update... Called Sig a second time to question why they wouldn't replace the other two mags.. spoke with "Ken" in Customer service... He tells me that I don't have a defective mag because only the first 100 were defective and already returned. He said without a sales receipt for the other two mags, SIG would NOT replace them... thanks SIG....

Funny how that works. I have three of them and according to Sig they are all accounted for.

I'll post a pic this afternoon of a 16-rd next to a 15-rd... the spring is quite different. Maybe you can use that as evidence to get the 16-rounder you deserve.

Newsig, don't like hearing Sig's position on mags! You probably could get a duplicate receipt from whereever you purchased them, provide Sig copy of your cancelled check to vendor, or record of CC transaction?

There are a few states like Maryland I believe, that limit mag capacity to 15 rds that may have something to do with this issue? Sig needs to have 10 rd mags for NY, Ca., and Hawaii and think they might have realized they were complicating things further with 16, rather than 15 rd mags? This is just speculation on my part?

Here in NJ the limit is 15 Rounds. If I owned a P250 in 9mm I'd want all the 15 round mags I could get!

PjD, thanks for post, as I knew there were others with 15 limitation, giving further credence IMHO for 15 rd?

The Sig reps told me the intent was for the mags to hold 16 rounds and the first 100 mags produced only held 15 rounds. They also stated that all of the first 100 mags had been returned... I think that is BS... Anyway, they are sending me a new mag... I was disappointed in the attitude of the employees.. It's a safe bet that this will be my last Sig purchase... I still think the P250c is a great gun regardless of whether there are jerks in Customer Service or whether or not it holds 15 or 16 rounds........

Had you called as member of a 'PD', I'd bet they would bust their hump to make it right.

The Joe Civilian market is not their biggest concern. They try and appear to care, but this new crew of 'shirts' could not care less.

I'd sure as heck press the matter and get that receipt, bombard the company mucky-mucks with mail from the top down to the janitor.

I'll take my chances with used SIGS from well-respected members here on the forum. New? Again, only from the folks here who go above and beyond for customers. Fortunately we have many who do just that - quite often. THEY are the good guys - not SIG.

(Biased opinion? Maybe so. Yet, there is too much of this stuff of late. SIG doesn't care.)

It absolutely is, because I have 2 loaded up at home right now... and I can prove it because the spring is SOOO much longer than the 16-rounders I have.

Here you guys go... maybe this will help alot of people. Besides the spring the follower also appears to be slightly different, but that could be my eyes playing tricks on me.

I'm assuming the 16 Round Mag tubes are the same as the 15 round mag tubes? They are numbered the same?

yes, thats why I put the white mark on it, so I could identify the 15 rounders.

I asked this in another post, but I'm going to give it a shot here as well.....

Can anyone sumarize a couple of things for me?

First, as far as possible caliber conversions are concerned, can the 40/357 version be converted to 9mm using only factory parts?
Anyone done it?
This may be the deciding factor of whether I choose the .40 or 9mm version.

Secondly, are there any known 'bugs' in the P250 that haven't been worked out yet?
Or bugs that have been worked out?
(slides cracking, trigger breakage, feed problems, etc.

thank you

I believe that you can, eventually, buy a conversion kit for them to change calibers. The only thing that stays constant is the trigger assembly and grip (for 9/40/357) and possibly the slide. I thought I had heard that the 45 would have to have all new parts minus the trigger group.

Again, until they are released, who knows.

Thanks for the info.

How about any early production 'bugs' ?
