I'm skeptical, but optomistic about this weapon.

My past is in airline management, I can get there. Wink

Might be adantageous to have an under-almost-30 as a part of the demographic. The shooting crowd isn't getting any younger, but the buyer's market is.

I take it that the "DAO" trigger system is totally different from a DAK... (?) Is it similar to the M&P trigger, except with an external hammer?

I know this is a dumb question, but is this SAO or DAK?

Cool beans. This is what I like to hear. Should be on the shelves when I return to the states later this year.

OK, after reading your post about a half dozen times, I think perhaps it's maybe possible I understand partially what you're saying, somewhat. Roll Eyes

If we can't get a MAP now can we at least know when we will get a MAP? Smile

Paul,

I'm very happy to see the 250 coming on line finally. We know something of how hard y'all have worked on this project, and I can't wait to see the (nearly) final product!

Flork and I can't make the July range report session, but we do hope to examine and assess an early version when we come out next week for our Steel Challenge class if possible, and we'll post our impressions here on Sigforum when your other participants have the go-ahead.

Congratualtions to the SIGARMS engineering team for this exciting development!

-Bruce

Oh boy -- another chance to have chili cheese fries at the Muddy! But I'll be in China from July 11 to 24. So if you're going to have the range report during that time, I'm not sure I can get the weapon into the homeland. Big Grin

Wow, I was getting "all jacked" up......untill the part: Not Ca compliant......that took the wind out of the sails......I guess I'll read about others here on the board and look for reviews. Oh well, I thought I was living in the good old USA, but IMO,Ca dosen't have the constitution working here....Did CA succeed from the Union?.....LOL......Good luck to all those enjoying the new SIG!.......Cheers The Mouse

I'm really looking forward to trying this out. While I still think it's ugly in pictures, the idea of having a light-DAO polymer Sig in a 229 size mid-sized frame with steel frame rail tabs and with a slide that can be disassembled is starting to sound *very* appealing. As long as the internal frame unit is nothing like the firing control unit of the SigPro, err, so long as the 250 is able to be disassembled and re-assembled by an owner like a Classic Sig can, I think I'll love it.

I'm very glad it's a nice, light DAO, not a DA/SA. I think the market in general will be much more appreciative and receptive of this trigger than a DA/SA trigger, especially in a pistol of this type. I know I will!

Please add me to the list. Much thanks. Like everyone, I am very excited about this new gun. Very innovative.

This is the SIG p250, what is revolutionary or different about this gun?

Eventually, I bet it will the most interconvertible pistol around, kinda like a transformer for us adult folks. For example, with just the firing control unit containing the serial no. and being the actual firearm, hypothetically you could have a large frame, subcompact, compact etc. different calibers and even single stack or double stack configurations without even changing the acutal "firearm." Ultimately making it cheaper to own all the different components rather than 5 or 6 entire weapons.

Interesting thoughts....

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." I'll have video on the 250 up next week on DOWN RANGE, hopefully...I have to assembly/disasembly/modular stuff already, but I want to get more range video (last time I was up at Sig they didn't have a working 250...just pieces).

I could pop the assembly stuff on Wednesday, then add the range material later in the week...would you guys rather I do that???

Michael I for one would love you to do that. I think when you put the pieces together first - then do the range work separate for the pieces, it allows us to focus more on what makes it tick. JMO - but certainly my preference.

Thanks for all your great work.
