I'm interested in the Sub Compact as my next concealable carry, but two things will possibly give me reservations about getting one..

1. Have they solved all the reported jam/feed problems that they had with the other variations of the P250?

2. Will they (ever) offer a magazine/grip extension?

I've seen pictures of it being held in hand. If I can't get my pinky finger around the grip, I don't know how I feel about that.

Also, I don't know if I'll like the DAO. I've never fired a P250, so I don't know yet. But, I carry a DA/SA P226 on duty, so I may just get another P239 (THEN, I'll have to decide between Gen 1 and Gen 2!) LOL I recently sold my Gen 1, but I really liked it. It was used. Needed the money to pay bills, but promised myself I'd buy a brand new one in the future.

Looking forward to hearing feedback on the 250 SubCompact, though.

I believe, and someone please correct me if i am wrong, that you can use the mags for either the compact of full size pistol in the subcompact much like using G17 mags in either a G19 or G26.

Again, i have never tried it as i don't own a 250 yet but that was my understanding.

The mags are interchangeable. The magazine base plates are not. The cool thing that no one has mentioned is the ability to place the slide of the subcompact on the compact frame. You do have to trim the front 1/4" or so but, it gives you an "SSV" if you will or short slide version. I am tempted to alter my compact frame to fit the shorter sub mag, but I am a little hesitant. I do like the styling of the subcompact frame better though. The stippling is a bit different and there are subtle changes.

I have gotten used to the action and the long reset. What is odd is I actually shoot this thing quite well, even at speed. The light pull, though long is sweet. Enjoy-YMMV.

G671, if you decide to go with another 239 instead of 250 SC, you might want to consider the SAS G2 which has melted slide treatment, BOTH front and rear night sights, and SRT trigger with DA/SA? Your LE rebate would "soften" the blow of SAS and would also apply to 250SC; but both of those are $50 rebates, rather than $100 on 220,226, 229, or 556.

Sox, good post!

What is this LE rebate you are talking about? I'm thinking of getting a 229 and a rebate of $100 would be great.

Redbeard, if you have current LE credentials;believe rebate is in effect and you would be eligible. Check out Sig's website to confirm!

Will the Compact top end go on a subcompact frame?

One would hope that Pierce would come out with a pinkie extension like they did for the Glock Subcompacts.

Sox, I believe there is a short trigger available for the P250.

Just so we are all clear ...... the short trigger available for the P-250 ..... does NOT effect the "length of pull" ....... only the "reach" to the trigger is effected.

I asked this question a couple years ago to a then representative from Sig.

I was told that they do not recommend this but it should be possible.

It should be noted that this was before the release of the pistol and may have changed since then.

I guess they don't reccomend it because it would hurt sales of the SC top end.... Razz

At 5:00 min is the spring assembly.

HK P30 -V1 triggergroup (LEM) - for sale. Not anymore. Out of the blue came IPSC 15 round in mag rule - i keep it.

CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow - flaws removed.

Paperwork started for a Sig P226 Blackwater tactical. IPSC introdused 15 round max in mag = no need for this gun. Bought a STI Edge .40sw in crome finish instead.

Is anyone receiving caliber kits for their 250c's? I have one on order from Sig, but customer service led me to believe they have stopped production on exchange kits for some reason.

Traded in for the PPS today, and plan to shoot this weekend. Gun shop where I purchased it was totally out of 9mm (!). It feels better in my hand, so hopefully my experience will be more positive with this gun.

Although reviews claimed it'd come with two mags, it only contained one - and I wanted the shorter one as well since I've got small hands. Apparently they're having problems with MecGar, too. Gee, sound familiar?

I haven't seen caliber exchange kits ANYWHERE so far, although TGS has them listed on the website (just not in stock).

Sup, had the same thing happen to me. Go to sig's website and download their PC wallpaper pick of the P250. You get a pretty good look of how it should go.
