A very generous Karma

Back in 1999, at the Kennedy Space Center's Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Lunar Landing, we were working with Buzz Aldren back in the VIP Room to get him and the American Eagle "Trouble" used to each other.

For the event, during Buzz's speech he was to say "The Eagle has landed" and then Trouble was to fly in from off stage and land on his arm.

The crowd went wild

Having had a step-Father high up in NASA during that golden era of Space Exploration, I am a bit of a Space Nerd and these types of things always touched my Patriotic Pride and even today remembering the event still reaches my emotions and my belief in American Exceptionalism

Please toss my name into the hat as well

Another generous Karma. I have everything I could want in life, you need not consider me.

My favorite Independence Day lyric of America from Lee Greenwood:

If tomorrow all the things were gone
I worked for all my life
And I had to start again
With just my children and my wife
I thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can't take that away
And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.
From the lakes of Minnesota
To the hills of Tennessee
Across the plains of Texas
From sea to shining sea
From Detroit down to Houston
And New York to L.A.
Where's pride in every American heart
And it's time we stand and say
That I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.
And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I know I'm free
And I won't forget the men who died
Who gave that right to me
And I'd gladly stand up next to you
And defend Her still today
'Cause there ain't no doubt
I love this land
God Bless the U.S.A.

This flag has a story. I purchased this house from a widow who’s husband was a Sgt. Major in the Army. He was killed in a range incident and she decided to sell and move to a townhouse. On the closing day she asked me if I could please keep the flag up in his honor and I promised her I would. Hopefully the next owners will do the same when I decide to sell.

Thanks for the chance.
