Guys, I just purchased an I fired 229 Dark Elite and she is a beaut!
She is a 9mm, and I was looking for some mags. I found some 229-1 17 round ones. Got them home and they do not fit at all. Can someone fill me in on what the difference is and what I need to be looking for? Thank you, J

Your P229 must have the Legacy slide with the short extractor. Get the old P228/P229(9) mag.

Any of the following mags will work in your gun. Stay away from any mag that says 229-1 (or E2), but you already found that out.
