I've been carrying a Sig P238 for roughly 6yrs, about the time they first came out.
I love this gun, it seemed to be the perfect gun for my wife so we picked up one for her.

Recently, I spotted a P238 Legion for under $500 New, I grabbed it. I have seen it listed for the same on PalmettoStateArmory.com.

I have to say that this is the most accurate of the 4 right out of the box. My guess is that they were able to set it up better for their x-ray sights. Groupings were pretty close to what I get with my 1911s.
One of the other 3 came with TGL sights and was the most inaccurate of the 4. I sent it back to Sig for evaluation of the sights, they told me that if the sights were OK I'd be charged. I asked them to return the gun with Novaks if the sights were off. The gun came back with Novaks, No Charge. The best I can figure is the TGL sights are longer than the Novaks and this made a big difference on a barrel this short.

My only disappointment with the Legion is that it comes with different mags than the regular P238s. But since it came with 3 mags I'm not upset.

This P238 Legion is a bargain if you can grab it under $500

Good deal on the Legion.

I had an almost new P238 a while back and traded it for a P238 HD. Both of them are really good 380s.

I haven't held a Legion yet as I know it would go home with me somehow. Wink

My Sig 238 was my favored carry until the addition of the P365 recently joined my home! But, the 238 still rates first in the fun to shoot category.

I’ve carried my P238 SAS since 2011. Very accurate and reliable with a very short trigger reset.

Just how different are the mags? Will the current mags for other 238s work in the Legion?

And yes, welcome to the forum. Nice first post after seven (7) years!

The Legion mags will not swap with the regular P238. This was a big disappointment for me.
But, the Legion came with 3 mags so I'm dealing with it just fine..

Thanks for the welcome. LOL on the 7yrs comment.

Does anybody know if the swap will work the other way? Will the Legion mags fit in the regular P238?

The P238 trigger does indeed have an impressively short reset.

BTW – I really like its polymer trigger. Its serrated surface is comfortable (for me, at least) and provide secure traction.
