I agree with the Nills: a little larger in circumference and look killer(no pun intended).

I have a set of Nills on one of 239' and a strip of skate tape on the front strap> Works well for me>

If one wanted Nills, where do you buy them?? Or should I say, where's the best place to buy them?

on a related topic what are slimmer grips that would take up the decocker slot on a DAK gun?

Working when I have to, shooting when I can.

Yes, assuming both are DA/SA. The DA/SA grips will also work on a DAK (but not vice versa), but look a little odd as there is no decock lever...

Seems silly to have decocker grips on the DAK doesn't it?

That is part of why I do not like the stock ones on my 239DAK. They are wider than they need to be because of the decocker slot. I'm thinking more and more about Hogue G10 even though I like the looks of wood better

After another trip to the range and seeing how accurate the 239 is, not me, I think I will leave her as is...but you never know.

Factory plastic grips. Rubber grips are too sticky for concealed carry.

I agree. I put some wooden checkered grips on my S&W 442 and love them so I may try wood. I have put Hogue rubbers on my 229 SAS and like it so far but I have to be careful they dont bunch up the shirt tail and expose the bottom of the holster or muzzle.

Nils are about the same price as Hogue alums. I love the look of wood on a black gun, but may go black on black with Hogues if I go at all. $150 for grips is a bit steep no matter what they are made from...

I tried the Hogues and then Crimson Trace grips on my 9mm 239 SAS. The CT grips were the best fit for my medium-large hands. They were laso less sticky than the Hogues in areas subject to snagging my clothing while carrying.

Hogue soft rubber with finger grooves.

My main gripe with the P239 was that it was slightly too thin for my hands. These grips solved it - and perfectly. Just the right size for my hands (YMMV), secure grip, love the finger grooves. Thick enough, but not too thick. Width is such that it still lets me drop the mag without shifting my grip (important to me).

I loved these grips so much that I tried the 228/229 version on my 228 and 229. Didn't like it as much - too thick. Had to shift hand slightly to get to the mag release. I prefer the stock grip on the 228/229 despite the lack of finger grooves, but for the P239, it's the Hogue, 100% perfect.

I voted for the Hogue grips but then went on to read another user's post on factory grips. I can't recall shooting my P239 with factory grips... Time to head to the range and do an A/B test.

Went to the bank to get a money order for my new P239 today (NIB, germany, 9 mm).

Teller: Want anything in the comment section?

Me: Yes, "P239"

Teller: Sounds like a battleship.

Me, grinning: Yeah, that's close.

Some people end up putting large grips on small pistols, winding up with a single stack gun as wide as a pistol with greater capacity. The factory grip of the 239 is why I don't own one. My favorite single stack SIG is still the 225.

I have the gloss black Hogue aluminum checkered grips on my 9mm 239. I love the way they look, but if I had to do it again I'd go with the G10s, non-checkered for IWB carry.

The checkering on the aluminum is very aggressive and great for gripping but not so much rubbing against my side IWB. I have G10 checkered on a different gun and they are almost as sharp IWB.
