I have three from A&G Gunleather. Two are from their "quick-ship" line of ready-made belts; one is a custom job that I actually bought used / like-new from another forum's classified ad section. Love 'em, and wear them even when not carrying on the belt.

I've used a C5 leather in the past and for the past year and a half been using an Ares Aegis Enhanced. I spend a lot of time outside and wanted something that could handle the moisture which is why I went with a webbing belt this time around. I've been nothing but pleased with the belt and the buckle of the Aegis doesn't scream Tactical like you typically see with the Cobra buckle style belts.

I have a Beltman bullhide that is now 10 years old and still going strong. But he appears to no longer be in business. His site didn't turn up on the search I just did. I also have a fabric Wilderness Products "Instructor," and it does have an advantage of infinite adjustability, but it doesn't work as well with the clip holsters I favor as the thicker leather belt.

IIRC, Armour Belts is run by the son of The Beltman. (someone correct me if I'm wrong please)

That is not correct. He is the nephew I believe of the original owner, not of the original Beltman.

I used two 5.11 Tactical leather belts with the kydex stiffener. The kydex would eventually break at your belt hole and then get "floppy". Cannot recommend this product.

I then went to the Magpul Tejas belt. Also leather but with a synthetic kydex/plastic/whatever backer. Love this belt. Great hardware and is wearing very nicely. Works great as a belt and a gunbelt. I will buy another, no shocker that Magpul made a good product.

I support local businesses, and fortunately for me Filson is local. I've been using their leather double belt for years with no sign of it falling to bits anytime soon.

It's gone up in price a fair amount since I bought mine, but it's a grand thing that I likely will not have to buy another before I pass on to the Great Beyond.

I make my own with materials from Tandy leather...an easy chore, too. I've found that a 1-1/2" heavy leather (8-9 oz.) belt with a good buckle does the trick even with all steel 1911's. For those that prefer the lighter alloy framed or poly framed models it's even better. Too, 1-1/2" does well with most pant's belt loops. Give it a try, you'll not be disappointed. Rod

I probably have way more gun belts than I need since I normally wear jeans or cargo shorts and only use a few of them. My favorites are The Beltman and Armour Belts for leather. The Beltman sold the business to the current owners in Alabama a while back. The quality and service is still excellent. There are a lot of good leather belts out there but I like The Beltman and Armour because of the high quality, good prices, quick turnaround, and I like leather belts to have the holes 3/4" apart rather than 1". They offer that option. For nylon tactical belts, my favorite is still the Wilderness Tactical Original Instructor Belt (5-Stitch).

You seem to be interested in leather, but I like the Wilderness Tactical belts. I have two of their 5 stitch belts that I've been wearing exclusively for over 10 years.

Last year I called them because the velcro was wearing out & they said to send them in & they'd replace it no charge. They even gave me a $5 discount on a new belt; which was nice, since the old belts seem to have gotten shorter since I've retired.

Beltman for me in the past, may look at Armour next time

Hanks belts. The one I have could be used as tow strap!

My Armour Belt turned out very well. The other company I like is Dahltech Not as stiff and rugged but a more comfortable feel.

Currently mine is an SOE EDC belt and also Mastermind Tactics Specialist belt.

I also have a G-Code but it is way too thick and stiff

I’ve had an Ageis for a little over 2 years now. I’ve worn it every day, for every event (formal as well) and in my mind, it’s the best damn belt out there. I carry a P226 every day, and the Ageis helps distribute the weight, and doesn’t flop over. I can’t say enough about the product. It’s probably the only belt I’ll ever buy.
