I shoot a Beretta for a number of reasons.

The first being that Beretta decided to stop making their Inox versions, and especially their Brigadier Inox versions. I had lusted after an Inox since either 94, 95, 96 when it was on the cover of some "gunzine". When I finally got my hands on a Brig Inox I was NOT content letting be a safe queen.

The other reason I shoot a Beretta in Production and Limited/L-10, Steel Challenge, and IDPA is because it "ain't a Glock" . Wink

Yeah, it's a platform that works for me and has proven uber reliable. It's like an old pair of sneakers, for me it just feels right in my hands.

In my view, the decision to switch should be made only because the shooter can run another platform more competitively.

Not to butt heads with ya Bruce, but it's the Indian not Arrow after a certain proficiency level.

I'll just go ahead and stick my foot in my mouth now and get it over with....

Outside of the production division/IDPA, I "ain't" really seeing a Sig product worth getting enthusiastic about.

If Sig would put something out that could run with the Big Dawgs of STI and SVI and even the Limited and Open Glocks, and not play 3rd or 4th fiddle to the CZ's or Witness, only then will a Sig get more than passing glance from me.

Unless, of course, I move to state that has shall issue CCW. There's some German police trade ins going for cheap over on the Missouri side of the river.

When gas goes to 5 dollars a gallon next January or by next Memorial Day, I'd be enthused if Team Taurus or Team Ruger or Team Hi-Point came along and paid for my match fees and some... err.... all of my reloading components.

I'm an equal oppurtunity "whore" like that. Wink

I don't need to name drop here but you know the guys who shot Sigs very well for a while and have long since moved onto one or two other platforms already.

Pardon the thread drift folks...

Bruce, my apologies ahead of time if my comments seem catankerous.

I don't have much of a competition resume but I am interested is seeing what's going on as I have started competing more often.

I started carrying and shooting Sigs because of the To Hell and Back Reliability, When I shoot a competition I've found that going bang every time sure boost the scores and confidence levels

We're getting a growing number of Sig converts in our area who notice that the guys shooting those Sigs never seem to have any problems.

My 226 9mm served me well enough to win my division SS SSP last weekend and will be making a number of major outings this fall.

To continue my earlier thought, I bought the Springfield because ever since I got my first Kimber 4 years ago I had been wanting to get a single stack 1911 in 9mm and I'm sure it will be one to two months longer before Bruce and company get my p226 done so was looking for something to shoot. Have done some informal competitve shooting but this is intended to be a start in USPSA, I surely came to Sig through the "merits of the gun" after trying all the polymers and concluding only a well made 1911 was comparable as long as one could make it as reliable. Coming to "Gun Camp" solved my only concern about Sigs so much so that it's a non-issue now. That concern was first shot "double action". Going through the excercise of taking up the trigger while pushing out on the presentation from high ready completely solved that issue. At the level I'll compete - "production" the p226 , for me, is the only satisfactory choice in light of most of my previous experince being with 1911's (i.e.single action trigger.) I'm a Sig fan for life.

It'd be nice if we got a reply email, even if automated, so we know our info was received. Wink Big Grin

I would have to say, if you sent in an email, you read this thread. So, consider this thread your receipt if anything. Those guys are busy as all hell seems to be the understanding, I don't think they have the ability to send out that many emails. They're also all going to the regular email address so there is no way of sending out an automated response since it would go out to anyone that sent anything to that address, kind of like an out of office response. I also don't think they've got enough time to figure out how to set up an automated response and even then, you'd have had to set it for emails with a certain subject line or something of that sort or set up a different email address and it's a little too late for that. Just send it in and forget about it. One day, you might hear something new and if and when that day comes, you can get excited then ya? I'm just kind of straight forward that way. Razz

Hi, Folks!

I just finished answering all of your inbound emails to date. (If you don't get a personal reply from me, please resend your resume or note!)

I can't thank you enough for your great response and enthusiasm!

Yes, it's a bit early to get into specifics. Please be patient! I flat guarantee that if you are a true SIG shooter you'll like what we come up with, and it'll astonish the rest of 'em. Big Grin
