I personally like the way Kimbers look - they are appealing to look at, but I do not like their overall performance record. In that price range I would probably go with Springfield. If you have 1750 or so to spend there is a person selling a used (300 rounds) NHC Predator. It will sell fast at that price. _______ Sincerely, DocSIG NRA life Member |

The grips are a little more agresive than the factory`s ... but you hold the gun more firmly , and they are very comfortable . These grips are , as far as guided by all the research that I did , state of the art on function and looks .

A Kimber Custom II is a fine basic 1911. I see that you have a Sig. Are you going to carry the Kimber? I don't think carrying a manual safety is a good idea if you also carry a non-manual safety. Carry one or the other, and practice with the one you carry more than the other.
If you get to like 1911s, you may end up ditching the other platforms, or relegating your DA/SA to nightstand duty. mz |

I am not a fan of Bobtails (just my personal preference) but other than that, you got a great looking 1911. I bet you are really proud of the beauty.
