In case this wasn't already well known. I asked whether I could send in my slippery plastic 1995-era "pebbled" grips to have them checkered and this was the response.

I love Hogue products and I wish they still offered this service, but I guess time marches on.

Maybe a miscommunication thinking the grips have been solder stippled rather than factory pebble.

I sent her a pic. I wonder if they switched from machine to laser and nobody knows how to machine or hand checker anymore
