I do like that Sig will buck the trend every now and again

I know! I almost got one from the last run a month or so ago. I will eventually snag one.

Very nice, I prefer the look of rail-less versions as well - just a nice, cleaner appearance IMO.

I hate rails so much I will NEVER buy a SIG or anything else with one....
I also can't stand extended magazine base plates, beaver-tails on Euro-guns, or flashy grips.

1) Why couldn't SIG simply make the P225 EXACTLY like the one on the opening forum page?

2) A few years ago I stumbled onto a situation where SIG in Exeter had 78 pieces of P220's with NO-rail and no beavertail. I bought a pair....
However, they did have wooden grips and extended base pads.
I swapped the wooden grips out for SIG black plastic, but still don't like them as much as the original plain black plastic.

I will NEVER sell these guns....
P220...

PS: I've programmed and sold CNC Machinery for 40 years.
It is extremely simple to implement the Light-rail tooling and programming on or off with the flick of a switch.....No Rails would be an easy option to offer.
SIG chooses NOT to because the market seems to desire doo-dads and toaster ovens on their firearms...
Gag.... Roll Eyes

The 220 Carry is the only one with a tail.

Very nice family you have sriperkid!

I too, am a rail less fan, but ironically, now have more railed Sigs than non railed. 3 of my 220's only come with a rail that I know of - 220 ST, 220 SAO and 220 Equinox as well as my new 320.

The 230/232 is the only gun I wish had a tail.

You know exactly what I'm talking about! Well done!

Don't you just LOVE your SIGs with the older plain grips and NO RAILS! (Of course you do)

I bought a half dozen SIGs during the 90's and they looked like yours....then flipped them and wished they were still made exactly like the older ones.

I've always liked the clean lines of the classic P-series. Wish they would bring them back.

Have any of you guys put #8 #8 night sights on your 225A1's? Any issues? The contrast sights on my 225A1 are #6 #6.

Very nice!

I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.
