I like Sigs.
I like the Sig design.
Since Exeter has decided to be a rifle company, I'm glad someone is stepping forward to make Sigs.

Maybe Exeter can be in the business of applying their rainbow titanium finish to Norinco Sigs.

Nice one, Isko, thanks!

Pardon me for adding to J_Frame's question, but do they ever ship any Makarovs over to the Phillippines? I know the Chinese have updated to a 9x19, but I'm sure there's still a market for something like the Mak and I'm curious to see if the Chinese are doing a nicer Mak than they have in the past.

Thank you isko, that was more info than I could have dreamed for, may I ask are you a long time lurker on SF?

Also, how are the gun laws there? Can you carry? You mentioned using your NP-22 for home defense.

Yes! 2 years...I've tried before signing in but my email could not yahoo and gmail, until our firearm site for pinoy became a .net (http://www.pinoy1911.net/forum/index.php) and has a free email, this is just the time I've got in... Wink

Yes! we can carry (but only the privilege) Philippine does not have the right to bear arms as your country does but only privilege and those could pass stringent measures to own and carry a Firearms can...(psychology test is involved). As of now the persons who has PTCFOR (Permit to carry firearms outside Residence) or the same as CCW License is suspended due to the incoming elections, and after the election we could not carry by the hip, it will be in the bag or gun bag (bummer!)...Well tell that to the criminals who can... Eek

I used my FA if I'm out of the City/Office and as a Home Defense and IPSC Competition Pistol...as the saying goes "Practice what you Carry!"

Here are other findings of NP-22

See some tool marks, NP-22 is Forged Slide

Tool marks near the firing pin...Forged!

Some rail wears after 1,600rnds.

Slide frame difference between NP-22 and P226

Taken from an another site...difference of the locking block from the original P226 and the current production of NP-22

NP-22 internals are made of Reddish Orange, Proof on how hard is the steel w/c is difficult to blued

I did have a Norinco 1911 clone a LONG time ago. Whenever it would decide to go "bang," it was a, ah..., "unique" pistol.

Seriously, did someone pose as this member? Confused
It's happened before on sigforum.

I mean, it is so off the wall and out of character for members here to post something like that.

Another person bites the dust.

I've asked for folks to think before they post.
I have asked that members refrain from posting while drunk.

Yes! just a coincidence I have a Chinese Mak! (M59 (A) .380 cal) I've modified front and rear sights by a gunsmith, re-blued the slide and the grips to wood. see pics and enjoy! Smile Models here are only in .380 and 9x18 cal

Some Photo ops!

do note however that the AK is not the real steel its AIRSOFT...the ones that shoot's bb's, just for photo effect!

Cool, Isko, thanks again! I've got a couple of the European ones and I hope to cross paths with a Norinco sometime when I can afford to add one to the battery. Those wood grips look great.

Yes, thanks for the time you have taken to put all of this information here. It is very interesting and we otherwise would not have access to much of this. And I apologize to you and everyone else for derailing the thread.

I believe any/everything Norinco makes that's firearms industry related. For example, their ammo was banned too. It's a shame because I bought an a$$-load of 5.56 for cheap years ago and it was decent stuff comparable to mil-surp for less.

Maybe if your State Department would actually let Americans export their products people might be able to buy it. I can't buy most gun parts or a gun in the US or even have it mailed to me, as it's illegal for me to posess it or export it. Same with ammo, I can import 5,000 rds into Canada, but I could go to jail for having empty brass casing on me if caught by the US Feds. the State department is cutting your throats.
I have about 4 Norinco pistols and 4 rifles. Every generation gets better and plan on getting the NP-34 and NP-58 when my buddy brings them in. As for spare parts Marstars in Canada generally stocks enough.

P220R, 226ST & 229 Elite got to love it!

Interesting post. What they say"copying is the gestest form of flatery". I bought a '95 Sig 226 for $490 LNIB about a year ago. I have noticed a large amount of LEO trade ins in both 9mm and .40 for around $400-$450. At these prices why would anyone but a knockoff? It does look like they did a good job, must have given an extra bowl of rice to the convicts that made them or just threatened them with more punishment. Norinco is part of the government in China.

all of the firearms industry is part of the government in the PRC...as are the tour guides and schools.

do people really still believe that industry is being manned by convicts?...this isn't a Russian labour camp or pre-Deng China, Norinco is a major industrial manufacturer

Last I heard, Norinco 1911's were rough, but made of GREAT metal. Maybe this could fuel the kick-off of custom Norinco SIG's, lol.
