My 1911s feed just fine. However, there are many examples of 1911 that won't run consistently "out of the box" and may need to be tweaked by a competent pistolsmith.

My Springfield GI and Kimber TLE II both feed a variety of HPs with no problems at all.
Many years ago, yes, Colt 1911s had lots of feeding problems but most 1911 makers have designed their offerings to feed HPs just fine. - Brickboy240 |

Aaron, great write-up on your Baer test. As someone waiting for the delivery of a Les Baer Special Thunder Ranch Commanche, I appreciate it.

No problem! Congrats!
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow main is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themselves with out this law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven". Such is the rule of honor. |
