I've been looking for a Swiss or Israeli P228 for some time now and they have either been to rough or to pricy, finally found one very reasonable, thought I would share with the forum! looks like it's had a few rounds fired through it based on the barrel smiley but the rails are still all black looks to have been well taken care of KD date code and all three serials match also notice no import marks unless I missed them. Hope the pictures Post OK

Nice find! Not rough at all. Didn't see an import mark.

Wow that is a nice 228.

Thought i remembered that some import marks were being put under the grips. I do see turn up on the screw head slots from someone using a flat ended screw driver. The sig specific screw driver would be a round ended flat head screw driver.

That's a IDF P228. Look at the star of David on the trigger guard's left side. Most IDF P228s are beat up to hell. This one still looks great. Congrats.

The sig specific

Thanks Everyone! Trigger is not bad typical Sig I'm going to leave it just the way I found it maybe some new grip screws and just shoot and enjoy, I'm a 1911 fan so it will spend time in the safe although my wife has her eye on it... but that's OK glad she shows interest.

Very interesting find. Congrats. The Israelis resisted buying German guns for years and for obvious reasons.
