FishOn-The pistol is in the rearmost portion which is secured with two zippers. HPG recommends having thme about 1" apart on the upper right corner. This let's you grab and pull with your left hand while the right accesses the pistol. For one-hand access, same set-up, just drive and wiggle your hand in. Not as fast as a hip holster, but fills the need on the trail or fishing for me.
