I've done searching on this, and can't seem to find an answer (and my searching skills suck).

I have an older P229 9mm. German Frame. I'd like to put a new 9mm slide on it.

Are they interchangeable, or do I need to swap some other parts (locking block)?

Most of what I've read relates to the P229 .40 and different slides. I realize the older 9mm P229's have different sized frames than the older P229 .40.

My P229 SCT is one of my favorites, and looking to put a Romeo1 Slide on it. It seems to fit fine, and cycles, but I've read the locking blocks might be different (my P229 has the older 3-dot locking block).

Well, I put a .40 locking block in it and seems like it works fine with the new slide. not fond of the long extractor, but oh well.

ill get it to the range and see how it works. hopefully no long term damage.
