We'll also have extra mags available for sale on a reasonable cost-plus basis to keep you all in mags 'till Hell freezes over.

Bruce - get'n time for me to pay up. Need to pick 8's and 10's. Do you have pics of the 10 rounders in your mag well?

uzigalilWhen are we doing a group buy on 10mm Ammo ?
July 12, 2008, 12:03 PM
FlorkI can probably aid you fellas in that. I should be able to get a good price from our supplier if we buy in bulk. Let me look into the prices I can get and we'll see what we can do for you guys.

9mmepiphanyin case some of you have missed it, the GGI traning website is up and i just tweaked it a bit including pictures with captions
how is this related to the 10mm project you might ask?
in the gallery, you'll find a picture of a 220 Elite converted to 10mm and refinished in Gray-gun-nite

wangle9mm,
Funny you should mention the 10mm project in the gallery of the training site. I was thinking this AM that there should be a page on the GGI's site dedicated to this pistol conversion and poof your post. Guess great minds do thing alike - well some what anyway

harrygun229Exciting project, this 10mm Sig. I can say a little about the barrels.
Bar-Sto's reputation does not need bolstering, but I had a chance to visit their facility. Great shop.
Irv Stone gave me a tour of the steps from bars of stainless steel to finished barrels. Even saw some barrels for this project.
I left with the impression Irv makes sure anything leaving his shop is of the highest quality.

+ a million for Irv and his products. There are none better, nor better people.

motorApologies if this has been brought up before.
Since glock was able to make a plastic 10mm, why don't we try a 10mm full size 250?
Anyone game? Maybe a while yet before the Sigs come out anyway, but doesnt hurt to ponder the requirements to try it.

FlorkHadn't thought about it, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. As long as the frames and opening in the frame rail is large enough for a 45 size magazine, we're good to go.
How much interest is there?
Incase you fellas are hoping for an update, we're nearly done with the breech face cleanups. After that's finished, we're moving on to adding weight to those slides that have been lightened by the factory, it's about 60% in case you wanted to know.
Once we have the weight blocks in and ground to perfection, we'll start fitting barrels, this it's off to the refinishing shop for the Graygunite/Super Black for those who want it.
Torie and Roy spent most of last week working on magazine wells and beaver tails for those who requested them. If you're debating between getting a mag well or not, remember this.......Chicks Dig Mag Wells....
We're making progress, with the 10mms on a daily basis, it's just a slow process to finish them.

It's obvious that a caliber conversion done right is an involved process. It's gratifying to see that GG is attending to all the details. Thanks for the update.

and the details are immense. We've redone 6 breech faces due to them looking kinda "Off", the dimensions were perfect, but it has to look good too, so we're making them all look as perfect as possible.

Someone over on the HKPro boards did a conversion an a fullsize USP to 10mm. I have heard some rumblings from GGI about doing a USP 10mm conversion.

Basically, I need interest from 15 or more people so I can get barrels made. How much interest is there?
