I am thinking p320 compact, thumb safety fcu, rx slide, and threaded barrel. And a carry, and sub compact grip frame.

I am thinking that's two guns and a threaded barrel to make it happen.

What would the ultimate config for you be?

I've got what I consider to be two ideal configurations. One is the Carry because it has a longer grip without a longer barrel. The other is the Subcompact with a mix of regular magazines and Compact magazines with X-grip extender. That gives me what is essentially either a Compact or a Subcompact depending on which magazines I use.

The bad part of all of this is that I live in New York State, so all of those magazines only hold 10 rounds. Therefore, my decisions are all based on grip length rather than capacity. However, if I ever move out of state (or the cursed "SAFE" Act ever gets repealed), I will have the option of 12, 15, or 17-round capacity.

Im still on the lookout for a P320CRX. That would be the ultimate platform to build from. Small enough to carry, large enough to do everything else.

I think a lot of people underestimated how convenient the versatility is.

Either thin up the 9mm version or make the .45 compatible.

The versatility is somewhat compromised by the fact that kits are hard to find.

Depends on the situation but I think the compact gives you the maximum versatility. Add an x-grip and you basically have the carry size, easy to put the full size slide and go big or drop a sc grip module and now you have a really easy to conceal set up. The compact is my favorite size to shoot and really is as big a grip for me to be comfortable in cc, but getting a sc grip makes for pretty deep concealment but still a great shooter.

The only advantage the carry size grip gives you is you can add the 21 rounder and have a good flush fit. Otherwise the compact is my preference.

This in Full Size and RX
I would settle for a full size RX no rail and TB

My ideal 320 is a stock, full-size version, with full-size grip frame (I like to keeps things simple). It just is a sweet shooter and I am comforted with 17 rounds of 9mm, or 21 rounds if you have the 21 round magazine. One caveat, I have not shot one with a red dot yet, so my preference might change in the future!

10mm, as always, sounds good, but I'm thinking of a compensated 5" RX in 357SIG just because it sounds like fun.

Hmmm... For me, it does not exist:
4 inch barreled, single stack 9 round frame in either 9mm or 357. TFOs and GG trigger.
No rail.

This is the exact setup that I have!
My Carry is the threaded barrel version and I also installed the Grayguns trigger in mine.

320 Compact RX with Bruce Gray flat trigger.

I have the full size 320RX, so all I need is the compact RX slide, recoil spring/guide rod and grip module.

After searching for the above, it's clearly easier said than done. It's OK though, I can wait. Love shooting the full size.

I like the compact slide on the medium, railed, subcompact grip frame.

It isn't perfect because there is just the tiniest of gaps between the dust cover and the slide, at the bottom, because the way the dust cover angles back.

The neat thing about this is it allows me to have a good subcompact, 12+1 capacity handgun that conceals well under a suit coat. Then, when I want, I can switch up to the compact and carry frames for 15+1 or 17+1 on-board capacities. I feel like the compact slide really makes for the most diverse options with the Sig P320, which makes it my choice.

IF I were over at Sig's product development department, I'd propose offering a frame with a full compact-length rail and squared trigger guard but with a subcompact grip length. That way the user could have one slide and the option to run 12, 15, and 17 round capacities without having to worry about the different frames potentially causing holster compatibility issues, as the regular subcompact frames might with their rounded trigger guard. The rounded trigger guard retains fine in my compact holster but I don't know if the same applies to all p320 compact holsters.

Throw in the option for a threaded barrel and a choice to run or not run a holographic sight and I think it'd be nearly unbeatable for versatility.

The only thing that kept me from going 320 over glock was the fact that the full size 45 wasn't higher capacity.

I would like to see a full size 45 with 14 or 15 round capacity. I would also like to see a full size 10mm with 15rd capacity.

Even better than that would be a G19 sized 10mm and 45. Obviously not the same size since the cartridges are much bigger than a 9, but basically I'm saying something in between a g29 and g20 size. It seems the only 10mm and 45 guns you can get now are either very full size or very subcompact which never made sense to me.

I share the same disappointment.

Luckily, the .45 Compact is similar in size and capacity to the Glock 30 (although the Glock is a bit shorter).

I'd like to see aftermarket grip shells being made. There's an almost endless variety of grip sizes, textures, angles and configurations that could be offered. This is a big untapped market.
