Lead is not recomened in polygon rifled barrells. HK and Glock like to claim that polygon is more acurate. Hopefully, some here has done some testing. I've never outshot my conventionally rifled SIGs,S&Ws, or my FN barreled Colt service rifle.

The simple answer is the polygonal seals better than standard rifling ...

In a rifle (e.g. Noveske barrels), it seems to make quite a bit of difference. Less friction on the bullet offers up a bit more velocity. And, less distortion/deformation of the bullet lends to better accuracy. Other than it's weight, I love my Noveske barrel.
