What is Best Name for Semi-Auto Submachine Guns; e.g., AR15 vs. M16 Login/Join

What is a good description for the semi-auto versions of submachine guns such as the CZ Scorpion EVO, MPX, SP5K. Currently, there are mutiple names and not all gun owners recognize them. CZ calls the Scorpion a "Large Format Pistol." The term "Sub Gun" is thrown around a lot but seems to have confusion build in. Tactical guns are too broad and feeds into the anti-gun liberals claims. It was easy for the AR15 vs. M16 but they are similar firearms except for the slect fire feature. Pistol Caliber Carbines work for any carbine that shoots pistol caliber. Would "Large Pistol" work. Any suggestions are encouraged.

Question:
What is Best Name for Semi-Auto Submachine Guns;

Choices:
Semi-Auto Submachine Gun
Civilian Version Submachine Gun
Large Format Pistol
Tactical Gun
Tactical Pistol
Sub Gun
Large Pistol
Civilian Submachine Gun
Zombie Apocalypse Gun

My point exactly. An Oxymoron but many people used it.

They are PCC if they have a stock. If they have a Arm Brace then they are still pistols.

Either pistol caliber carbine or semi-auto clone are my choices.

When I explain my Omega, I refer to it as "a semi-automatic clone of the MP5"

I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

Gibb: I like that term "Semi Auto Clone of ___" I believe that I may use it. Thank you.

16+”= pistol caliber carbine or rifle.

<16”= pistol, regardless of caliber.

I prefer to keep it as simple as possible; I don’t relish giving the leftists any scary words to latch onto.

The correct definition of sub machine gun is “A weapon with the capability to fire multiple rounds of pistol ammunition with on manipulation of the trigger”

I agree that PCC or pistol works best.

Wannabes.
I do recall that the rough tough French GIGN uses or used MP5s with semi only lowers. What would be a SBR/PCC here.

I would never refer to my SBR'd MPX as a "machine gun" of any sort. Just doesn't seem logical to me. A Pistol Caliber Carbine seems right on the money.
