The original question was "out of your arsenal" so given what I have, I would pick the 239 9mm which is what I do carry.

i've tried most of them and even though i seem to carry a 220 alot, if it was down to 1, it would have to be the 228

LOL! Whenever someone asks a question like this, they get a list of almost all the Sigs made....so why ask?
I have carried ALL P-series Sigs CCW at one time or another. And it all comes down to personal preference. I have even carried stainless versions CCW all day and enjoyed them. These days it's a 229. Some say they would NEVER carry a 226 CCW while the next person states they have been carrying a 226 CCW for years and wouldn't carry anything else. Just go on the Milt Sparks website and check out which Sigs Milt makes the VM2 for? Do you really think he would be offering the VM2 for all those models if he was not selling them? 101st Airborne Vietnam 67 & 68 |

P239 40 SW or 357 Sig depending which barrel I have in it at the time.
My fall back would be a P6 that I have. I must admit I shoot both P226's better then these but I'm accurate enough with these for self defense. With the P239 all shots are in the black at 7 yards and mostly dead center and about a 4 inch group. Freedom Is Not Free And Is Paid For By Our Military. P226R DAK for now, if I can leglly carry.
If I can get a P250 Compact and it proves to be reliable enough, then P250 Compact. |

Sig doesn't really make anything that I like for CCW purposes, but if I had to pick a Sig, it'd probably be a 229R DAK in .40.
I prefer 9mm and DAO actions, but DAK's in 9mm can have light-strike problems and I don't want that problem in a CCW. The P250 has similar issues, so it's out of the picture, too. The 228 is nice, but is not DAO (which I want for a CCW) and is of course discontinued, so I won't count discontinued models. Same for the 2022. Same for the 225--both discontinued and both DA/SA's. So, they're also out of the picture. Also regarding the 225 and 239, they're both far too big and heavy for their capacity, so the size to capacity ratio doesn't make sense to me. The 226 is too big and the 220 series has been too problematic in recent years. Yep, in the end, it'd probably be a P229R-DAK in .40. It works every time. It's DAO. It's double-stack and medium sized so it has a decent size to capacity ratio (for a Sig). It's got a rust-resistant stainless slide. It's reliable. |

Of the ones I now have, the P229 SAS, the "first generation" SAS, with the DAK trigger, and tritium in the front sight only. My P229R DAK is not quite as good for CCW because the accessory rail makes it bulkier at the front. I have two P229s with notably heavier stainless steel frames, and forward cocking serrations on the slide, both of which features are not optimal for CCW. (weight + snagging inside the holster)
My SAS is so good that I am looking into trying to afford a second one, just like it, before that edition is no more. It's not the carry-bevel treatment that I like the most, but the sights and DAK trigger system together on one weapon, with the carry-bevel being icing on the cake. Have Colts, will travel |

If a Sig, then a 239. Otherwise prefer a P2000.
