I was at my range the other day and noticed this MC25 Cleaner/Degreaser. I asked them about it and they said they have had a lot of luck with it, so I gave it a shot.

This stuff is water based solvent that is non-corrosive. This attracted me because I hate getting regular solvent on plastic, rubber and places where I cannot get to within the gun.

I really like this stuff! I think it works a bit slower than regular solvent, but it does work! Best part about it is you dont have to worry about it getting on anything in your gun. Also, your hands dont smell weird after you use it. I am going to keep using this.

I have been using the Mil-Comm cleaner exclusively on pistols that I lubricate and protect with TW-25B and it has worked great for me. I was using CLP and FP-10. For the first time cleaning, I applied 91% alcohol to remove any oil residue, then the Mil-Comm cleaner and white grease. I have found the stainless guns run better and cleanup quicker and easier after shooting. They have a great website for ordering products direct.

I've found the MC25 Cleaner/Degreaser to be superior (and faster working) than ANY other bore cleaning product that I've ever used, period. I've been using it for well over a year; I use it for cleaning, their TW25B as a lubricating grease, and Weapons Shield as a general light lube/protectant.

Best, Jon

Thanks for this post! Last time I saw it for sale somewhere, I considered it, but the store could not answer my question:

For general cleaning, [not including the bore], how does it compare to M-Pro 7?

I have not used M-Pro, but I use this stuff on everything, including the bore. I spray a few sprays on the bristle part of the bore snake and run it through a few times. Seems to do the trick just fine!
