some people have asked if I've shot this drill with a .22. Here you go... 5 yards with a Ruger MKIII 22/45, with Burris FastFire II micro RDS. I started at 5 yards because I figured it would be a breeze but alas, I failed, pulling shots low strong hand and weak hand. I rushed the shots, lost concentration, and forgot fundamentals. The dot actually exacerbates visual "wobble" and amplifies improper grip and trigger technique. Elapsed time was 4:30.

5 yards is the farthest so far because I have only shot a few clean from 3 and 4.

Pass from seven yards with 22/45 (reused target). Almost didn't pass the weak hand portion... got lucky. This drill makes 7 yards feel like a long way off. LOL

Pass (if you count hits that break the line) with Colt Python from 5 yards. I cheated a little and shot the weak hand portion single action, but the rest was DA.

Pass from 3 yards with S&W Model 10 2", all DA.

Fail from 5 yards with Glock 41. Got overconfident for last weak hand shot and jerked it badly LOL

Actually kinda proud of this one: Gen 1 LCP (almost no sights), 3 yards, pass. (reused .22 target)

This one sucked because I felt like I was doing really well and the pistol is surprisingly accurate. Fail from 3 yards with Shield 9mm. First shot strong hand jerked low. It felt like an anomaly because the trigger press and sight alignment felt no different from previous shots, but nevertheless, a fail is a fail. Frown

Pass from 3 yards with German SIG P220

Pass from 3 yards with brand-new Glock 30, Gen 4. Hits a bit high for me but surprisingly shootable.

Fail from 3 yards with Kel-Tec PF-9. Weak hand got me again

Provisional pass (if shots that break the line count) with Colt SAA .45, all shots cocked and fired one handed EXCEPT #5 which is traditionally fired strong hand only. I fired that dot with both hands to change it up. This one was pretty difficult as it's a new OEM SAA and the trigger is pretty bad. 4.75-5.75 lbs and pretty gritty and creepy. Plus the eagle head grips tear my hand up. First world problems. Big Grin

Pass from 5 yards with Colt 1911 Combat Commander/Advantage Arms .22 conversion upper

Fail from 5 yards with Rock Island GI 1911 .45... front sight is rounded front to rear and painted the exact shade of orange as the dots. That's my excuse. Big Grin

Fail from 10 yards with Ruger 22/45. I need to put the VQ trigger and sear back in it and see if it helps. Strong hand only and weak hand only got me.

Pass from 5 yards with Ruger Single Six
