Looking at either the G19 or the M&P9c. Having previously been all glock I am now all sig but want to expand a little for my ccw. Like the g19 but that MP just feels a bit better than the glock. Any of you guys carry one (mp9c) daily and have you had any issues with them?

Thanks

As an all around gun I like the g19 the best. It is the best all around gun on the planet in my opinion. That being said for cc I like the m&pc the best.

I recently picked up a m&pc in 40 and it is probably the best carry gun I've had. Love the ergos and it shoots great for a 40. You can't go wron with either.

M&P 9c CT is my EDC in a Raven Phantom. I like it, kind of utilitarian. 1600 rounds, no failures, even during break in.

Accurate, recoil is minimal.

The trigger is scrunchy for a few hundred rounds but has smoothed up nicely @ around 5.5 lbs.

The bore axis is very low, reducing muzzle flip, but can twist a little during rapid fire. The different size palm swells help, as one will seat better in your hand.

I like the gun, but am not neccessarily in love with it, Kinda like a Glock.

My primary CCW is a M&Pc 9mm.

I've had mine a little under a year and have had NO issues with it. It's eaten everything I've fed it so far (Blazer Alum, Remington Green Box, Monarch Steel, and Hornady Critical Defense) and it's a pleasure to shoot.

I own both the G19 and the M&Pc. While the G19 is one of the most concealable pistols I own, the M&Pc conceals significantly better.

You can't go wrong with either pistol, but for me, the size and ergos of the M&Pc won out.

Good luck!

My carry set-up: Hornady Critical Defense ammo, High Noon Holsters "Split Decision" holster.

Ugly as sin but preferable to a Glock, IMO. Better ergos, and I'd get an M&P with a thumb safety.

I don't have one yet, but they're on my short list for my next pistol, for EDC.

That's cool, yall thumped Hooty Nutt pretty good.

How do you like that holster? I need a light IWB clip on.

I really like the hoster. Good quality and since it's a "stocking item" it means there is no waiting for it to be made. Price is right and most importantly, it's comfortable. It has a tension screw (seems kinda useless to me) and oh yea, it's tuckable too.

If I had to say anything negative about the holster is that it's hard to one-hand reholster. They make one with a reinforced mouth, but it's not that big of a deal for me. If I have to draw in a real life situation, the last thing I'll worry about is reholstering.

I carry my M&P 9c daily and really like it...damn thing disapears in almost any outfit.
As for shooting it is great, just as others have attested to. It came down to comfort in the hand when I was trying to decide between the G19 and the M&P 9c...it just feels good to carry, hold and shoot.
That being said, I am planning on purchasing a Sig 228 and taking that for a spin.

I love my M&P9c. The G19 is about in between it and the M&P9 in terms of size. The M&P9c is much more comfortable for me ergo wise then any Glock. I've not had any trouble with mine and carry it OWB in a Raven Phantom.

Does anybody have a link to a S&W M&P site? I am thinking about the M&Pc .357 Sig and would like to do a little research.

The S&W M&P has bumped Glock from my recommended list for first, foolproof pistol for new shooters. This is primarily because the M&P has a proper grip angle. Proper being defined as M1911 and P220.

The M&P9 is also my general recommendation for a simple high capacity handgun. 18 rounds of 9mm in the the M&P9 at 0200 has advantages as there are no magazine pouches in my pajamas!

Finally the M&P does not have that difficult to master DA first shot most other pistols seem to insist on these days, nor does it have any dinguses to press or switch to shoot.

As for .357SIG? I've been to two long weekend professional training courses in the past couple of years with US Secret Service agents shooting this caliber (out of SIG pistols I might add). This cartridge made the same 9mm holes in the target as the other 9mms. If there's any advantage to .357SIG over plain 9mm I've not seen it. Nor have they noted any. It's what they're issued. They're glad Uncle Sam is buying their ammo!

Don't have the "c" modle but do have a full size M&P 9mm. I really like the gun and have never had a problem.

I love my M&P9c. First day out at the range, I put 551 rds of every kind of 9MM I could find without any hiccuops at all. Accurate, dependable, well made. The performance converted 2 of my LEO sons from G27s to the MP9c.

I've got a M&P9c, it is my girlfriends EDC. We've put a bunch of rounds through it, and it has been 100% for both of us. She likes the way it feels, but I prefer my G19. With the finger extension on the mags, the gun is perfectly sized on the front strap, but I wish the backstrap was just a hair longer. Adding another 1/4 inch in length to the frame would do wonders for how the gun would fit in my hand. Regardless, I would not hesitate to carry it on a daily basis.

I have been debating switching from a G26 to M&Pc 9mm. We switched to full-size M&P at work, and I shoot the M&P much better than my 26.

I have fondled but not shot a M&Pc, but think it might be the answer for me. Grip angle is much more natural on the M&P, but I already own the 26.

Doesn't look like they offer night sights, and all has to be factory. The CT model with night sights would be first choice. Do they offer that?

I just got back from the range session with both a G19 and the M&P9c. The M&P9c is now officially my wife's gun, as it fits her well with the small grips. She is improving rapidly with the assistance of this fine gun. It has been flawless in operation over two extensive range sessions. The G19 has been my carry piece for nearly 18 years. It has been 100% since the day I got it. I'll continue to carry it for that and other reasons, but I have to admit that the M&P9c could become a new classic.

I have a M&P40 and really like it, this is coming from someone who really doesn't care for polymer pistols. It took about 100 rounds for the trigger to smooth out and I put a little lube on all the contact points which really helped.

I think the thing I like best about this gun is the way it points. Being a 1911 fan, this gun is almost as easy to shoot.
