Have you considered enlisting the help of the SigArmy here? Surely someone, somewhere, could hook you up with a shop that could complete this run for you. It's not like they really have to be in the granola-quadrant of the nation, is it? It's Alabama - do the math |

That's true. Gray Guns honestly exposed the failure of the part. It is sig that blatantly lies to their customers stating that there is nothing wrong with the P220ST extractor. I'm still waiting for a class action to go down. That's like trying to shove a rabbit down a carrot's throat if you ask me. |

Behold my Radiance! |
I have been largely off the Forum for a few weeks while we moved our business into our new shop here in Spray, Oregon. I apologize for not posting more updates regarding the status of this and other key projects.
Flork is right in that we have been struggling to find a machine shop that can make these parts correctly. I can only assume this was also an issue with SIG Sauer that prompted them to abandon this basic design in favour of a version of their very good external extractor for more recent P220 production, but that is no help to the many owners of balky, older 220's and XFives. We are seeing similar issues with the latter, particularly in .40 caliber. Now that GGI is settled into our new shop I will be pressing this hard this week and I will let the Forum know where we stand on a delivery date. The only silver lining from this process will be the fact that our replacement extractor will function correctly. I'm just sorry this has kept people waiting. For the record, I nor GGI would participate in any suit against our friends at SIG Sauer. That's barking up the wrong tree in my view. -Bruce "Truth is found in the certainty of one's own ignorance. Sig45,
I suggest that you contact your LE Sales Reps. Mgr. in your region and address the issue. Once the gun is back at Sig, the Rep. will be able to tell you the name of the Technician/Gunsmith who is responsible for your gun. You can then get in touch directly with the Gunsmith and resolve the problem to your satisfaction. The size of your dept. should not be a factor. I hope Sig will make it right. Best of luck and Be Careful out there. Semper Fi |
