Anyone else modified their P6 Swivel Duty Holster?

The one my local dealer gave me with my 3rd purchase of a P6 was pretty beat-up.

I ended-up trimming the worn Flap off of the holster and then trimmed-off the snaps on the outside of the holster.

I ended up with a trimmer open carry holster that can be worn on a belt or can be snapped back on the swivel plate.

It's not safe to run with though.
I still need to devise a retaining strap.
Just tinkering.

I wouldn't--when the lower snap is opened, you can just yank the pistol out of the holster and the flap releases itself.
But, whatever floats your boat...

Compared to the monster thing it looked like before. I think you did a nice job with it. I am not sure if I would still use it our not. But hey you could always make something to retain it , maybe something thats a little smaller.

Either way I think you did a good job with it.

I just use it to protect the gun finish when I transport in my Gun Guard pistol cases
when I go to the range.

It was a beater holster that I just tinkered with. No loss one way or the other.

I prefer my Bianchi 7001 Accumold holsters
for actual protection of my pistol finishes
when transporting to the range.
