Can tell you that it is a reasonably early gun from the pointy hammer rather than the more bobbed/rounded current hammer.

Good lookin' find.

Sweet pistol!

The 'pin/post' on the take down lever looks odd in the pictures, I've never seen one like that.

And I believe they went to the bobbed hammer in '94.

Nice grab since is K-Kote finished. Look under the front slide for the 2 digit date code which will give you the date it was proofed.

That's a great looking, older P220. The only way to go for a 220. You can carry that baby with utter confidence.

Not to be negative, but what is up with the takedown lever? Looks almost like someone tried to drive it out with a pin punch and hammer, instead of the proper twist-n-pull?

Regardless, a very nice early P220!

im not too worried about the takedown lever, it could have been a toothpick holding it in there and i still would have bought it. i can get a new lever from brownells for $21

Nice pistol. The take down lever shown in the picture looks to me to be the lever used with a LASERMAX internal laser.

That exact model is my daily carry piece and pretty much has been for 15 years.
You got a smoking price on it.

Nice Gun, and YES--The take down switch is in fact a LASERMAX switch-if it does not have the actual guiderod laser still installed, no big deal. Very nice purchase!

I know where a nice used P220 is that is the same vintage but has a little holster wear.

I can get it for 425 bucks.

...should I?

It seems like a really smoking deal and the pistol is nice and tight. Looks like wear from carry but not shot much...police trade in maybe?

I am tempted...

I would buy the vintage P220 for $425. It is a great pistol and that is a good price. I paid $100 more than that for my 1990 spur hammer P220 five years ago.
