I have been shooting forever. I can make my sigs sing and dance, but when it comes to smithing I am lost! I am wanting to change the stainless hardware (Trigger, hammer, slide release etc..) from one 220 to another. There are a couple of smiths in my area. The one I have used in the past and trust just took a Gov't job. The other, I have heard is a little shady. Not to mention he has a two - three month wait after he gets your weapon. Any one out there aho can give me some instruction or at least point me in the right direction to do it myself?

Get the SIG Armorer's DVD made by Chris, the forum's resident armorer. I believe Top Gun carries it, but you can also find it in the classifieds.

AGI, the American Gunsmithing Institute, also makes a DVD on SIG's which is pretty good.

Best of luck

If you have plans to do the work yourself, I agree with ccmdfd.

Thanks for the heads up. I am new to the forum and just realized there is an Armorer's section. I will try and get the DVD. Thanks again.

He's a link to the video Chris put together. Very good walk through of tearing you Sig down and putting it all back together.
