I figured we are in the hay day of police trade 40's. Where are all the police trade magazines?

Just acquired a 226 and 229, each came with one mag. I was hoping to see $10 mags to feed them.

Seldom do you see $10 used magazines even for the ubiquitous Glock 22. Don't hold your breath.

Police handguns are issued with at least 3 magazines.

When they're sold or traded back in, the reseller typically strips out the spare magazines and sells the handgun with just one mag. They can then sell the other mags separately at normal used mag prices, to help pad their profit.

So there have been tons of used .40 mags of various types on the market lately. They're just not sold for super cheap.

Also, most of them have been Glock and M&P magazines. There are relatively few agencies still issuing all-metal duty guns, like your Sigs. Most had switched to polymer years ago.

They are $14.95 here, but for that price I'd just find some new for $19.99 (on sale) and not worry about it.

Yep. The days of $10 mags are over, used or not. The last sub ten dollar mags I got were surplus GI 1911 mags from the CMP. Before that I got some new Steyr AUG factory mags back in 2014 for $5.99 when companies were blowing them out. Got some used 4006 mags in 2004 after the ban for $9.99, and way back in 2003 I got used P225 mags from Greg Cote for $8. Wish I bought more than ten Smile

Yeah, I was glad to grab those GI mags while they had them. I still have 5 in wrap.

If I find any common Sig mag, new or used, for under 30 bucks, I often buy them.
Lately I have found some good deals on GunMagWarehouse.com

CDNN usually has trade in 226/229 40 mags for $20. I've purchased quite a few over the years and never had any issues.

Glock 40 mags can still be found around the $11 mark if you're patient and take advantage of the sale when you find it.

P229 magazines are available at AIM at the link above. I paid $68 shipped for 5 P226 .40 magazines off Gunbroker this week.

What, me worry?

Just saw this today, cheap as 6.99 but listed a "D" grade. They also have C and B grades, depending on model.

$10.95 while they last.

Picked up 3 of these in April, one drop free, two not. All in great condition.
