Tried the small Glocks and never found them to be as easy to shoot as my PM9 which has never given me one issue, plus the Kahr is smaller than the <IMG class="inline_image" SRC=" G43.

What kind of accuracy are you getting out of both the 43 and PM9?

These are small guns, and will never be as easy to shoot as bigger pistols. But you can carry them where you can't carry a bigger gun, which is the point.

Reliability is more important than accuracy. Having a gun is better than not having a gun. If the G43 is reliable, you can carry it where you can't carry your bigger guns, and it's accurate enough (however you define that), maybe it should be your gun in those situations.

I still shoot the PM9 better but have never been 100% convinced of its reliability (occasionally fails to return to battery). My G43 has been perfectly reliable but I'm just about to concede I can't get accurate (even though my G19 and G17 feel natural and shoot great groups).

I still haven't given up on the idea of a single stack 9mm. Anyone else give the G43 a try and move on to something else?

It fills a role for me, dressed up, carrying a smaller gun, that still shoots and handles like a Glock. It's not my EDC, but I like it for what it is.

I have many small carry guns but i carried a KAHR MP9 for over two years also a Sig P239 & P938 sometimes. The last two years a Glock 43 with a CT laser. This is an accurate gun with or with the laser for me. Upgraded the connector installed night sights and refinished the slide.

Went from the 27 to the 43 thinking if I don't like the 43 I'll go with the 26 sice our department changed calibers last year.
Carried the 43 in an el cheapo kydex holster till my R Grizzle came in for the 43.
So much better than the 26/27 carry.
Though I am stuck to 9mm Glocks so don't have much option.

I bought a 43 Talo last summer. Loved the way it felt in my hand and the ease to carry it concealed. But the serrated trigger made it uncomfortable to shoot after a few mags.I just replaced the trigger with a smooth one from a g17 gen4. That made it a keeper for me. I also put Pierce +1 extensions on the mags. This was my first glock but now I am eyeing up a g19.

G43 and I didn't like each other. I had trouble limp wristing it with carry ammo. Traded for a Shield .45 and it's been perfect and I shoot it pretty well.

I stuck with it. I have a Taran +2 and I carry a spare magazine. It's enough for me. It's a comfortable straight shooter that I'm in no hurry to replace.

I love mine, so much so that I've thought about adding a second one. I don't call it the Glock 43 anymore. I call it, "The Answer."

Church, Wal-Mart, picking up the mail...name it. Drop it in a holster along with a spare mag and go. I often carry mine in a Desantis Die Hard ankle holster and it's not even noticeable, no small feat with an ankle holster. The recoil is mild, it's very accurate, and the trigger is very good. Home run.

I like my Glock 43....nice size and weight, pretty good trigger, acceptable accuracy. I also have a Kahr cm9, which I'd describe the same. Both are great small gun carry choices, although my usual carry is a sig p250sc in .45. More oompf for not too much more size and weight.

Ha, I guess you'd like the PM9 based on your forum name. Big Grin If it works for you then great. I know there are a lot of people that love the little pistol. I had one for about a year early on and tried my best to like it but never warmed up to it. A 10 in group was the best I could do at 7 - yards and it always hurt my hand. Different hand geometry I guess.

I'm keeping my 43.. I even sold off a Walther PPS since it was edged out by the 43.

I usually carry the 43 in a BUG role.

Now, a PC Shield .45 is on the near horizon for me as an alternate daily carry for the hotter months.

I've had mine a bit over a year now and still love it. I pocket carry in a Desantis Nemesis with a CT laser attachment.

It's still my "when I can't carry my G23" gun. I will take it out shooting enough to maintain my skills with it, but beyond that it's just sits in the vault until I have to attend a wedding or some other event that won't allow me to do 'conceal casual'.

Great thread for a great gun. I have a couple, with the outstanding Talo sights (perfection), Talon grips, and trigger work (though less necessary with the new connector).
I too have to really concentrate to group with it as well as my G 19. Yet it feels better in my very small hands than the G19.
I have had a couple failures to feed with the Pearces -- not many, but they are still in the test-at-the-range category. What are others' experience?

I told myself I wouldn't buy one since I have a 42 and (and a couple LCPs and a P3AT). I found that the 42 was a little bigger than I wanted for pocket carry and for practical purposes, the only advantage to the 42/43 to me is the thinness for pocket or ankle carry. The 26/27/33 are very nearly the same size in every other dimension and offer a more shootable gun (particularly in the case of the 26), a solid increase in capacity, and much better magazine and accessory options.

I see the 42/43 as best suited for pocket, ankle, or on-vest LE BUG duty. Otherwise I just don't think they offer enough else to be worth the loss of capacity.

I still have a G43 and like it well enough. I don't carry it much since I've come to like the Walther PPS M2 (with 7-round mag) a little better for a single-stack. It fits my hand better. I don't pocket carry them, so the small size difference doesn't matter to me.

My wife carries a 43 and shoots it well. It's the one Glock that I can't shoot nearly as well as I'd like but when the weather warms I'm determined to learn to shoot it. I will have to solve the trigger pinch though, the 43 bites me pretty good.
