In a previous thread I asked about building a 1911. Due to some fitting that I'll have to do I'll have someone cerakote it.

I'm looking for some ideas on a color scheme. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So can you guys show me what you think is a great looking 1911?

If you have FB look up a guys business his business name is Dead Eye Customs. I like his work with Cerakote.

I will be swift in my attack. My venom is packed with enough pride and gun powder to take down
any adversary that attempts to tread on my freedom. You've been warned, but if you
still want to test me, take a step forward.

I think the Dan Wesson CBOB is the epitome of the great-looking 1911.

Minimal rollmarking. Sexy lines. Brushed stainless finish. Super clean and crisp.

(The only change I'd make is some fancier wood grips with a bit more figure to them.)

This is a Dan Wesson Valor that I picked up that was in rough shape. I had Robar do their Norton Special on it, Roguard finish on the slide and NP3 Plus on the frame.
I like the way it turned out.

If Coyotekiller this board is still in operation, he is less expensive than most and would be a good choice to finish a DIY.
