P250 grip module upgrade Login/Join

I have a subcompact P250 .40 that I'm looking to upgrade the grip module on. I'm specifically looking to upgrade to a Wilson Combat Carry II module with my subcompact slide and barrel and full sized 14 round mags. Has anyone used a Wilson grip on a P250? Are there any issues with the old style slide release? Thanks in advance for your help.

Link to Wilson Combat Carry II Module

Wilson has a compatibility chart at that link, nothing on it says it will fit the P250, but it also doesn't say it won't. Think it would be best to contact Wilson and ask.

Well, I bought one of the grips recently that is branded on the box as P320/P250. It is clearly NOT an either/OR product. It only fits the P320...as it certainly didn't fit the fire control group of my P250. If you eye the the moulded ridge that shields the slide-stop, you can see that it's shaped like a shallow 'dish' for the 320. On a 250, it's merely a flat horizontal lip.

I've not YET gotten around to sending it to SIG to see if they would make good on it for me. Unfortunately, the Sig Premium Dealer I got it from has a strict No_Returns Due to Covid(-Noia) policy..... Roll Eyes

Your P250 probably has the old style slide lock catch. Swapping out the catch with the new style catch should allow you to put your FCU in the new style grip. I believe the are available at Top Gun Supply.

You guys got me all a-flutter about converting my 250 Sub into the Wilson or maybe the SIG X grip. I do not see the slide stop/catch for the 250 on TGS. Stop teasing me!

I just swapped grips between my .40 P250 and my X-Compact. Worked fine. But the X grip needs the "earless" mag base plates or the new style with the square button.

The old-style P320 grips have just the flat horizontal lip. The new ones have the "dish" and require the installation of an upgraded slide catch on your FCU. That upgrade can be done on a P250, allowing you to use newer P320 grips or Wilson Combat grips. I have done it myself on a P250-22.

Here's the part you need: https://www.sigsauer.com/p320-...ly-kit-9-40-357.html

More info here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZv5B-pdLDM

Remember, as mentioned by others above, that if you go to an X-style grip or a Wilson, you will have to use the newer style of magazine, with the narrower "wings" -- either that or grind the wings down/off with a Dremel or some other implement of destruction.

You'll also need to get the post and spring.

It's a little pricey for these parts, but unfortunately everyone else including Sig, seems to be out of them. It's a pretty easy operation to do. I think it took me all of 5 minutes to do mine.

IIRC, if you buy it from SIG you get the whole assembly, including post and spring. Doesn't help that they're out of stock, of course. Reminds me of the old joke:

CUSTOMER: How much are these pants?
CLERK: $49.95.
CUSTOMER: What?! They're only $25 across the street!
CLERK: So go buy them across the street.
CUSTOMER: They don't have any left.

Just to tie up loose ends, I can confirm that my P250 FCU with old style slide release fits and dry fires (I will hopefully hit the range next weekend) in the WC Carry II grip module.

I want to be sure I am clear, here. I can order $50 or so worth of slide stop parts, that are not available......

or,

a $70 WC module and I'll have to trim the floor plates on my mags...

?

The slide catch upgrade is also available through Wilson Combat. In fact, the slide catch module is the avatar for the Miscellaneous Accessories section!

Wilson Combat also has flat base plates for P320/250 magazines:

I took a peek this morning, and the parts appear to be still available at Top Gun. It's a pretty easy evolution to replace the slide catch lever. I think it may have taken me all of 5 minutes.

The slide catch lever did not need to be replaced on my gun. I took it to the range and it functioned flawlessly in 200 rounds.
