Saw some tracer ammo online. Good/bad or it makes no difference. I don't know.

I ordered a small amount from SG several years ago in 7.62x39. It functioned just fine in my AK, but I never saw the first "tracer". It was commercially packaged, military surplus may have better results. Just my experience, YMMV.

Don't shoot it around anything that burns quickly. Early morning and late evening are the best times to watch it. Also long distances help a lot too like out in the desert. Semi-autos are not as much fun as full autos using tracers. With full auto load every 3rd to 5th round with a tracer and you can get a good idea where you are hitting when shooting 10 round bursts.

Shooting them once in a while won't do any harm. I just would not make them a steady diet in any gun. You do have to clean more often when using tracers.

Sorry for miss understanding the question.
