The edge always go to the larger diameter bullet.

I agree.

One HST expanded to 1.19"! I'm sre the .357 Sig is a very powerful round, but I'd prefer to punch silver dollar sized holes.

I loved that whole presentation, but my favorite thing was on the ballistics test the first thing they tested was a .07mm BB hahaha

The only advantage I see with the Sig357 is that it will be slightly more reliable as it is a bottle nosed cartridge. It will penetrate more through car bodies but that means it will waste energy going through things that need to be stopped right now and not in cars.

Properly calibrated ballsitics gel requires a known test sample, such as a BB shot at a fixed velocity. You then measure the penetration and the test results can be accurately calibrated.

TankDriver, does it really work? Do you shoot it? Where?

Cannons above were being fired at the NRA's Whittington Center in NM.

TX DPS has been using the 357 since 97, the NM DPS since 99; they have not had that problem when shooting people not in cars. Are very happy w the performance of their 357S (125 GD). Were not as happy w the performance of their previous 45s from 91 - 99 (200 Speer JHP, 230 Win SXT JHP, 230 Win SXT +P JHP).

This isn't really true. For example, I'd take 357Sig over 9mm Para because the extra velocity can be used to ensure both more reliable and larger expansion along with deeper penetration.

However .45 starts at a larger diameter to begin with, so less expansion is required for the same or greater expanded diameter.

Thanks for posting those 90mm pics. During WW2 my mom worked in, as she said "the war plant".
She worked for GilBarCo (Gilbert and Barker Co.)
in the plant set up to build parts for M1,M1A1 and M2 90mm guns. There are a couple on display here (Ft.Bliss actually) and years ago when I was a kid we'd stop and look at them and she'd show me the parts she inspected before the were sent for final assembly.

With the terminal ballistics of a tactical nuke, thats what I'm talkin about. 9mm is for sissy men and old ladies.

Couldn't resist but you 2 men must be compensating for something LMAO!
