So i was in Cabela's (hey, i work right by them, and work was slow as hell.) looking at .380 ammo. I can get plenty of target ammo, but what about the serious ammo.

They only good stuff they had was some Golden Sabers. Other than them smoking crack about their prices they had about 7 different things to choose from.

What are you folks feeding your .380 guns?

If I were to use one I would choose this, http://www.buffalobore.com/ammunition/default.htm#380 . The 100gr.

However, it will depend on the pistol you would be shooting it out of. Recoil might be unbearable.

I carry Golden Sabers in my .380 102-gr however I am starting to lean toward the Hornady for my .380 but I'm sticking to Golden Sabers for my .40.
I found this chart when looking for the best bet for my 9mm.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

I also carry Golden Sabers in my .380. They always feed and the bullet ends up in the same spot on the target that my practice ammo does.

I've had a lot of success with Cor-Bons.

Mine is a P232 now with 2500 rds through it. Only failure to feed has been with the first round out of the mag (after discharging the one in the chute) and only with Federal PD. CorBon's- no prob.
SXT's- no prob (shoots 6" left at 25yds, though so not my carry ammo)
XTP's, Gold Dots, Black Hills, Rem GS- no prob.

Because of $, I usually end up shooting/ carrying Black Hills- I have some that were loaded up with GDHP's and some that were XTP's...

Fiocchi (ball and HP) has been the most reliable 380 ammo that I have tried. It is the only thinig that runs reliably in every 380 I have had.

Hmm,

I use Winchester Silvertips because they feed in everything I have. But I will concur that the Fiocchi HP feed in everything I have shot in 380 (which silvertips did not).

The Corbon seemed like nice ammo but doesn't feed in everything.

I fired 50 rounds (yes 50) with each mag receiving at least two complete loadings and firings to make sure they would feed but I still would like to shoot more.

I agree with staudacher. Fiocchi is outstanding in my p232. Also, I recently tried Buffalo Bore .380 with the 90 grain Gold Dot bullet in my p232. Functions flawlessly and it's HOT. I am currently using it as my carry ammo.
