Out of a Sig P230 9x18 Ultra.

A) 90 gr. GDHP/1075 fps;
B) 95 gr. XTP/ 1075 fps;
C) 100 gr. TC/ 1030 fps;
D) 110 gr. LRN with a lovely heart shape/ 1050 fps;
E) 124 gr. FMJ/ 1020 fps.

Trying to be as considerate as possible. Penetration is not an issue.

Smile

E) Being FMJ it will not cause much tissue damage. On top of that it might not even hurt.

I think the phrasing of your question is difficult to understand what you are asking.

1) Which bullet to get shot with, so I can sustain the least injury?
or
2) The bullet I think is going to dispatch me the quickest?

I'm with StanSoph on this one. I don't really understand what you are asking. It's like asking "what man would you like to sleep with?" Uhh, neither, thank you.

For the least amount of damage, I'd guess the FMJ.

Really! I vote none. If I had to face a BG, what do I hope he has in his 380? 100grTC. The less tissue his rounds damage, the better my chances for survival.

what

Everybody has its preferences.

Personally, the heart-shaped 110 gr. makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. But its only because I'm a sucker for such emotional symbolism.

I am very glad to know that all who answered did not object to the alternatives on efficiency grounds. Be it light and reasonably fast, or relatively heavier and slow, we all could distinguish between a tickle and a sting.

Candidly, I do not know with which I would feel "better". If penetration is not an issue and accuracy is assumed, I would prefer instant shock rather than lingering effects, hospital bills, lead poisoning, acute bacteriological infections and what-have-you. But that's just me. And they all should accomplish that. It then boils down to a question of personal preference.

Yes, I can see where it might be mistaken for a trick question.

So how 'bout this? Which one would make someone feel prouder, as in, "Damn...I'm sure proud to be shot with that one!".

Choices would now include the following components:

1) Rottweil P804 with Geco SP Boxer primer with powder lumped next to the primer, or;

2) Ramshot ZIP with Fiocchi SPM Berdan primer with powder evenly distributed in the case.

Sealant colors are not an issue unless someone prefers in making them an issue. Choices available: red, lovely shade of sky blue, yellow, green and black.

Not only that. Caliber wars about the same caliber are the worst.

But those who know the 9x18 Ultra/ 9x18 Police/ 9mm Ultra/ 9mm Police/ 9mm Super cartridge do appreciate the difference and enjoy the versatility. And some might not have known that it could all be achieved without going beyond SAAMI or CIP limits. Btw, ballistics shown could be improved/surpassed easily. Not that bad for such a tiny thing. By how much and what is the safe limit? That takes time which will be spent.

Now....9x18 Borchardt is a different matter.
