I just completed my first transaction with Ammunition to Go. All of the copper jackets on all of the bullets are tarnished, and some of the bullets have a little tarnish or minor surface corrosion on the nickel-plated cases. This is the first time I've purchased premium factory defense rounds that have had problems like this from any vendor. They are Federal Tactical Bonded 230 gr HP in 45 ACP. Are these bullets acceptable to carry ? Would you accept these bullets in this condition from this vendor ?

I've purchased police surplus ammo a couple times from Ammunition to Go and recently bought a box of .45 HST 230gr along with a box of 9mm HST and a couple boxes of Federal 115gr +P+. All this ammo was in perfect condition.
Previous orders of Winchester Ranger in .45 and 9mm all came in similar condition but did have a single box that was wrinkled a bit on one corner, probably from being dropped. Could have been in shipping or have happened during storage. Everything was good inside though.
As to the box of ammo you received I wouldn't worry about a little bit of tarnish on the bullets or the cases but shoot a few rounds to put your mind at ease. I'm sure it wasn't sent to you purposely as second class merchandise.
I've purchased a half case of Fed HST's from them and they were all perfect.
Current Guns: -Suppressed M&P 9 for the nightstand -P7M8 for Carry -STI Stainless Steel Trojan in 9mm for Singlestack -Brazos Custom STI 5" 2011 in 9mm for Limited Minor & Plinking -Brazos Custom STI 5" 2011 in .40 S&W for Limited -Brazos Custom STI 4.5" 2011 Pro SX for Open
I was perfectly pleased with the HST .45 I bought from them, and I don't recall seeing any negative experiences posted about this company (the opposite, in fact).
Why not give them a call or shoot them an e-mail, preferably with photos?

I love ATG, I have never had a bad experience with them. As far as the copper jackets looking a little dull, I have noticed that before in some bullets but not others. For instance, my first couple boxes of 147 HST, the jackets were very dull looking. Nothing wrong with them, just a definite dull look. The 124+P HST in the same shipment was brighter looking.
I just did my first transaction with these folks - ordered Tuesday morning, got an email with tracking info before the end of the day! Ammo will be here Friday.
I have been buying from ATG for over two years now and I must say that I will be buying from them for many more years if they keep takingcare of me the way they have. maybe it is me, but I could not tell you the cosmetic quality of any ammo I have purchased from them.
I just received another order, and while I did not inspect each round, the samples I examined from each box were beautiful and gleaming, like fresh off the line.

Just recieved my first order from them today! Everything was great! Got some 9mm 147gr Speer Gold Dots and Federal Tactical HST's. I love the design of the Federal's so I will be ordering more in the near future! These rounds will also become my carry load and replace the winchester 9mm 147gr bonded.

Same experience as most posters above; I've ordered from ATG several times before and I have been thoroughly satisfied. Pictures would be good, and I'm interested in hearing ATG's response if you choose to contact them.
