has anybody tried this stuff? i have seen it lately at the local Brass Pro Shops. i dont see it on the Winchester website, unless i missed it. i think it might be a Pro Shop exclusive but i am not sure. havent seen at the gun shows or anywhere else locally. here is the link to Brass Pro website.

i am interested in the performance of the personal defense rounds. the training ammo is to expensive for me, i'll stick to my cci blazer brass.

but, for under $20 you can get 50rnds of the defense ammo. brass case with "special" coated hp bullet. it looks similar to one of the hornady loads. i opened several brands at the store and compared.

with the prices of ammo these days i am looking for a "reasonable' priced personal protection round in 9mm. i know some will say that price shouldnt be an option on a "defending your life" item. but, just like firearms, just because you pay more doesnt mean you get more. some lesser cost firearms shoot and function just as well as higher priced ones.

any comments, questions, experiences....thanks?

I wouldn't see a problem with using the personal protection rounds, but it would be nice if they'd offer the training rounds in larger packs.

For that price though, I'd at least try it, if it feeds and functions well for you, go for it.

Linda loves shooting the practice rounds in her hk p7m8.....i'm not sure why exactly but its her favorite. I bought a bunch of it when bass pro offered free shipping. with no tax it worked out ok.

You can get the same ammo only cheaper without the Lubalox coat.
