1. Sure

2. I had my dealer order several boxes before the "panic".

On the Winchester website, the Ranger T-series is NOT under civilian ammo heading, its under "law enforcement" ammo. Just leary, because as a private citizen, if I ended up shooting someone who broke into my house at night & the whole legality thing just scares me. If it is available to civilians, why does it say "Law Enforcement Only" on the box?

Winchester ordered the boxes with that printed on them. Their sales policy says LE only, it has nothing to do with the law.

Cool.....thanks. I just didn't want to get nailed someday with illegal ammo, if (God forbid) I actually had to use my weapon. Thanks for all the input.

Unless there is a state law, the Fed's only prohibit a few calibers for civilian ownership. These include the AP versions of the 5.7x28 and 5.56x45.

it's a Winchester preference, not a Federal law.

Yes, and no.

Normally you can buy Ranger T, but many of the ammo companies are restricting their LE ammo lines to confirmed orders from LE agencies because of the ammo buying panic.

So actually finding it right now would be hit or miss.

Try SCGunGuy first, then check out AmmoToGo and Tactical Defense. I'm certainly not LE and I have plenty of Ranger T in different calibers, and I live in the Peoples Republic . . .

Ranger T is hard to get. Since the change in march all that I have received for stock has been some 40 and 45 ammo.

Distributors sell overstock all the time. Not Illegal just hard to get at times as Win's company policy is LE only but there is no law. I think Mas Ayoob even suggests it. I'm waiting for my 357Sig to come in.

Just bought some RA45T from Jensen Arms in Loveland, CO.

They had it on the shelf with everything else, $6/box cheaper than the next-least expensive "Duty" load.

...because Winchester is fucking retarded.

Because Winchester intended for it to be used by LEO's only, There is no law against having or using it.
