Winchester White Box 230-gr ball.
Goes bang every time; makes a big hole. Accurate, too. My Colts love that stuff.
CCW or at the range, that's what I'm shooting.

My duty load is WWB self defense load 230 gr JHP. Wish we could afford nicer ammo, but we can't.

230gr cast OR 230gr Precision Delta FMJ's for the range (depending on how willing I am to clean the guns afterward).

Federal HST's for carry... although when I finally get around to shooting them I'll probably to switch to Gold Dots as I just can't find the Federal LE stuff anymore.

I have a (Dwindling) supply of Federal 200 gr EFMJ...works very well in my 1911 and is pretty hot...Expansion is very reliable with these so over penetration shouldn't be terrible...But alas, EFMJ is now too expensive to buy so it's getting replaced by whichever weight gold dot I like most...So far it's 230gr Gold Dot...
